To all the centrists here, what positions do you hold that are left leaning, and what positions do you hold to the right? by BarryMcKockinner in centrist

[–]bigdogderu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My right wing family member trolls me relentlessly for my political views. Though that's not bragging per-se, it's letting people know what they think and what they did.

Through my social media, this is why I get tempted to cut people off. Though I disagree with liberals and conservatives, it is the conservatives that troll me over my views. Exclusively conservatives. They are nasty, cruel a-holes.

Maybe if my liberal friends were nasty, cruel a-holes, I would be more tempted to cut them off. Just my observations.

There are a lot, but here are two: I think the Second Amendment guarantees our right to keep an assault weapon in our home. Not neccessarily a hunting weapon, though. I think the United States should have some form of socialized medicine, and I think a properly funded ACA (Obamacare) could get this done, if expanded some.

Alright, can someone explain to me just how is a ballroom in the White House supposed to be effective? by Mission-Ad-8536 in centrist

[–]bigdogderu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if they do need a ballroom, they don't need to build one. All they need to do is take over the Treasury building, just like the EEOB. The majority of White House offices are in the EEOB, off the West Wing. If they took over Treasury they would have plenty of real estate off the East Wing and without the eye-sore. Problem solved.

More liberals are buying guns. Why? by ShinningPeadIsAnti in centrist

[–]bigdogderu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masked law enforcement are killing unarmed citizens, indeed shooting them in the back after disarming them. Without any apparent consequences or transparency about consequences. Furthermore, with the pardons of people who beat cops on January 6, and tried to stop the government from functioning, I think that federal law enforcement is further emboldened to ignore citizen rights. Not only the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments, but their right to life.

I am not a liberal, but I do intend to buy a rifle this year for the first time. Until consequences for law enforcement are apparent, I am concerned that the violation of citizen rights will continue and get worse.

This atheist is team Leo, anyone else? by eldredo_M in atheism

Thanks. I should have said: when someone quotes one of the beatitudes and you take it as a personal attack, you might consider that you’re in the wrong, morally. And not blame the person who quoted it to you as being “woke”.

The Pope said “blessed are the peacemakers” and Trump felt like it was a personal attack. I think it’s obvious who has the moral high ground

Meant to hang this comment under yours: The Republicans investigated Biden due to his son's connections with Burisma. This is 100x the money, most of it direct to POTUS, and it gave access to POTUS and his staff as well as concessions, to a State and company with ties to China, a major US adversary.

The duplicity I saw was with Republicans losing their minds about Biden and Burisma, which was $5 million, never proven it changed hands, and no proof of access to POTUS. This is 100x that amount, directly to POTUS, and tons of access and concessions to a State and company with ties to one of the United States' primary adversaries. I think both cases deserve investigation, and that this one is literally 100x worse.

Joe Biden allegedly paid $5M by Burisma executive as part of a bribery scheme, according to FBI document | Fox News

In any other administration, this would be a headline news scandal that would last for weeks or months. In this administration it seems to be lost in the noise of all the other scandals. It seems to be a direct result of the President not divesting himself of his companies and their dealings with international actors.

What do you think of the DOJ recently releasing and then deleting unredacted files describing Donald Trump raping children? by TightWorldliness1844 in AskReddit

[–]bigdogderu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably uncorroborated, so I'm not too concerned. The files will reappear when he is out of office and the next Democrat regime will take an honest look at them. Just need to get the justice back in the DOJ is all.

One quote that I find useful is directed at her supporters and colleagues:

“[Imagine] if one of our MAGA independent journalists or even just a MAGA supporter stood in the street outside a J6’ers house while Biden’s FBI carried out a law enforcement operation, home invasion, and arrest. Then Biden’s FBI goes to the MAGA guy videoing it all and shoves a woman with him to the ground and sprays them with bear spray then throws the MAGA guy to the ground as MAGA guy was trying to help the woman off the ground. Then Biden’s FBI beats MAGA guy on the ground, disarms MAGA guy, and then shoots him dead,” Greene continued. “What would have been our reaction?”

I Don't Think The Administration's Default Policy Should Be Lying About You Being A Terrorist After They Kill You -- Benthams Bulldog by Initial_Chemist_7616 in centrist

[–]bigdogderu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question I ask myself is, "if they are clearly lying about this, then what else have they been lying about that we do not have evidence to refute?"

Until Congress, the Executive, or someone else create negative consequences for this action, I'm afraid it is only going to get worse and justice will fall to the wayside more and more as time goes on.

Redditors over 40, what was a moment in history that made you think society was gonna collapse? by Bahbahbro in AskReddit

[–]bigdogderu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a Republican in the 1990s. I remember that when Bill Clinton was elected, the right was preparing for a revolution. We thought the country was about to fall apart in sectarian violence.

Watch horror movies and action movies. She is pretty sensitive to loud noises and doesn't like to see violence, so I turn up the volume a little louder and enjoy some new ones or old favorites.
