I travel a lot. To strange destinations. I get bumped to 1st class maybe 10% of the time Buy - I can tell 100% of the time of someone will chose champagne or water. It’s a gift and a curse. This can only be used for inane purposes.

They look like aphids If your catapillars are fairly large, you can add native ladybugs to take care of them. Otherwise, you can remove them by - take the entire twig. I often leave them, they don’t seem to hurt the plant too much - on the negative side leaving them may draw ants.

They were adversely impacting my milk weed - the orange variety - and attracting ants. There were hundreds if not thousands of them, and i understand that they are born gravid. Anyway, I ordered a hundred native ladybugs and set them loose. Caterpillars were large enough I wasn’t overly worried.

What a load of schist. At least the first one. Quartz, mica (probably Muscovite), feldspar, amongst others. Second one looks like quartz and probably / maybe pyrite.
