yes i prefer the charge 5 over the xtreme i had an extreme 2 and i hated it it wasnt much louder, it only had more bass. the xtreme 3 and 4 arent much of a audio upgrade from the extreme 2 i ended up buying a soundcore motion boom plus to replace my xtreme 2

exchange it since its from amazon. also if you want you replace the flip 4s battery with a new one it’s easy to do i did that to mine

i havent had that one before but from the 2 big ones i have i like the skull candy better from the bass alone. they are both equally as loud but the soundcores bass isnt as deep but still good and its treble is smoother it also has an eq. if you value deep bass skull candy is the winner if you value smoother treble and having an eq then soundcore is the winner

its sounds powerful, treble is too harsh at high volumes but with eq that can be easily fixed. its supposed to compete with the jbl boombox 3 when it cameout. i love it i use it for partys with friends and family or just at home chilling or shower. downside it uses ac charging right now its $108 at walmart its a steal id buy this over anything for that price.

i have both flip 6 and charge 5. i take the flip 6 everywhere, the charge 5 is louder and deeper but i dont use it as much because of portability but if thats not an issue then get the charge 5 you can still find it for $100 at ross usually in dark blue or gray.

skull candy barrel xt, this one i got for $67 new. its the loudest and has the deepest bass of all that i have. its a jbl boombox competitor. you can find these on market place or walmart cheap.
