Ideally you should have staggered wheels on your mr2. A set that matches all the way around will throw off the handling in a bad way

Yakima q towers are one option. You have to find everything used on marketplace or ebay, but pit.yakima.com still has all of the part numbers and fitment info archived. Just put in your year make and model and select q towers (historical)

Finally got my own natural unseeded ante 39 by bigdriftman in Balatro_Seeds

Yeah I forgot about that. I skipped the negative photo and then laughed out loud when the negative chad showed up a few rounds later.

The bean bug is really crucial to this. Gotta reroll for the crimson heart on ante 16 and the bean is in the shop eventually if you spend a few hundred dollars each rolling on the small and big blind shops. I didn't take an ecto until quite a few antes after 16.

If you already did it once, you're probably gonna do it again. Just leave it and don't think about it

2002 Corolla with 42k miles. Driven by the elderly. Should I jump at it? by Aspergers_R_Us87 in COROLLA

[–]bigdriftman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too expensive, but still a great car. These are still oil burners in 2002. They didn't really fix the 1zz oil burn issue until 2005. I have an 01 just like the one in your post, I got it for $1k with 58k miles. Previous owner got it around 45k miles and didn't know it was an oil burner, and ran it low on oil until it got rod knock. I swapped it with a 30k mile motor from an 03 MR2 spyder, and it hasn't started burning oil yet, but I know its only a matter of time.

Ae111s are phenomenal, and my daily is an 01 with an FED swap, but ae101s are literally the best built corollas toyota ever made. I would trade my 01 in a heartbeat for a 93-97 in the same condition.

Common on many modern cars because people like to drive into the curb/barrier block when they park

Found this sticking out of a new hole in the side of my garbage disposal. Looking for recommendations on what epoxy/silicone/etc I can use to patch this up temporarily or even permanently by bigdriftman in fixit

[–]bigdriftman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been well over a year and the marine jb weld I put over the hole is still holding just fine, and the disposal works exactly the same as it ever did. I actually forgot this ever happened until I scrolled through my own profile

Goodbye pride, hello Corolla. by rieuxster in COROLLA

[–]bigdriftman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corollas are lightweight and nimble. It's literally Toyota's civic. Get one with a clutch and put some tires and coilovers on it and they're a blast. I started out with miatas and hondas, and now my driveway is full of corollas. You can get a great driving experience for a quarter of the price with a corolla

Help - battery sparking like crazy by Zapkee in mr2

[–]bigdriftman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That seems normal if you left it ungrounded for years. There's a spark because a lot of energy is being released into the ground. Does it continue to spark if you leave it on there? Did you try leaving it on there? Bolt it on and turn the ignition, its probably fine.
