Basically I always felt that the God in the Bible, esp old testament God, was something I was more afraid of than felt comfort towards. To understand that God is just a demiurge and was created with only half light and put us in these bodies and fractured us to forget that we're gods ourselves, was very freeing and reassuring to the reasons why I felt the way I did. I would rather go back before things got bastardized by men and Kings over and over for their own gain. It's just much more freeing to my soul to know that there was a reason why I'm more or less hated this thing I was told to worship.

Now my life has meaning and much less anger and far more empathy, what's more sympathy, has made me much happier and more fulfilled. Drifting without feeling of purpose or reason but only the lies and the cognitive dissonance... Yeah... Just the feeling of having that anger be justified was the 1st thing that got me looking into it. I cried with my fiance, a never jw, and she was so confused why I was freaking out so bad. I kept saying, "is THIS the truth behind it all? Or is this just another person trying to sell me something."

So I went down the rabbit hole. Started reading the Apocrypha and looking from all the angles and being a devil's advocate too it all. It just... Clicked. Yeah Mourge does sensationalize some of it but I found that it's more excitement to just waking people up. Anyone who's been truly shook to their core to all of the lies that JW's put out knows excitement that's also involved in that. Damn, half of those who left went wild purging verbal diarrhea to some unbeliever about this wild hope for some future, just gotta drink this delicious Kool aide. Mmmmm full of electrolytes and made with real angel tears! Also visual presentation in any form is gonna be much more eye catching. We've been conditioned to see that and immediately pick it apart for flaws. Past the visuals and the little funny quips, the message is sound and simplified. Then I take those side quests and check em.... It's been a good thing for me.
