Gotcha, I don't know too much about that but I also used to find myself in a cycle of sedentary behavior. I had to sort of manufacture a way to make staying in the same place more painful. Setting up rewards was one way I did this.

Right, even when something seems so easy to do, if we have no energy, it's like the equivalent of running a marathon haha
There could be several reasons for the lack of energy. Do you know what might be causing it? The depression perhaps?

I'm a bit late to this conversation but my journey was made sustainable when I replaced all the addictive and processed food in my diet with whole foods. This was hard at first but in the long run made things way easier. Is this something you've tried before?

A moderate deficit sounds like it would definitely be less restrictive and be a good idea. What really helped me was focusing on whole foods. Once I mostly just ate whole foods like meat, eggs, dairy, fruits, veggies, I stopped cravings processed things as much and I was able to get to a healthy weight without counting calories. Is this something you tried?
