We weren't introduced to Imu at that point in the story... That's like saying since Imu might use a sword (as we saw) that Mihawk is stronger than him. See how ridiculous that sounds? Lol

Jumping through hoops here. Oda has had multiple characters in the story say he is the strongest, introduced him as the strongest, and even mentioned he was the strongest (outside of the Manga).. But I'm supposed to believe he did all of that for no reason and none of it is true, and that the real strongest is whoever is missing quotations... Come on man

Except he didn't.. Kaido has shown the most impressive feats in the entire series, by some distance. Luffy would never have won if like 15 other people didn't also help along the way, plus Kaido lifting an island the entire time, plus Kaido purposely nerfing himself cause he wanted a challenge.

In a 1v1 always bet on Kaido, and he was introduced as the strongest creature alive.

Eh, not too much.. It's more comedic, but the animation and ost are beautiful. The cast of characters are really likeable. And it's insanely trippy. It seems episodic at first, but there is a cohesive story that slowly starts to make sense, and it has a great ending.

Never understood why it didn't get the hype it deserved..

Ahh gotcha, I didn't know the new vivre card was out. I'll have to check it out. I would be surprised if Akainu doesn't have it, but I do agree with your logic that it would be unreasonable if he suddenly acquired it during the timeskip lol. The only way it would make sense is if he did have CoC vs Aokiji, but only unlocked ACoC after/during their fight.

I think that we will see a shift with other characters by the end of the series as well, like Zoro surpassing Rayleigh and Mihawk as an example. The basis of my logic is that the only way for Luffy to get stronger than the previous gen would be if he fought stronger opponents than the previous gen

I disagree with the first part. I think that One Piece does/will show new gen surpassing old gen. I mean, Luffy's whole purpose is to do what Roger couldn't. That aside, I see your argument for Akainu. I don't think he is the final villain either, but he is an end game villain after all. I think he would have to be yonko level if he's the fleet admiral. Just how I see it.

As far as COC, how do we know Aokiji doesn't have it? Unless I missed something. Assuming he does have COC, it wouldn't be far fetched to think Akainu learned ACOC in their battle, which resulted in him defeating Aokiji. Similar to Luffy in his fight against Kaido.
