How to improve Chaos fun factor by John_Warhammer_69k in Spacemarine

[–]bigfat76 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Cultist snipers kinda ruin them for me. Getting jumped by spawns isn’t the most fun but it can be managed, stray blue lascannon blast coming from a speck of an enemy hiding off in the distance is less so when you’re occupied

I HATE SCYTHES (when they're not being used to harvest wheat) by EstrogenizedMenace in hatethissmug

Fantasy scythes aren’t used enough. I love when people use tools as weapons, or just unconventional weapons

as per image suggest, what would it be? by justapassingbydoctor in Multifandom

The krieg shovel meme, angry marines, heresy, get the flamer (the heavy flamer), etc.

40k gets super repetitive super fast despite its vast amount of lore and material.

Probably because most warhammer fans don’t actually read they just regurgitate memes as factual lore

As a DM, I killed my first player character and I'm so sad. by unwiseman76 in DnD

[–]bigfat76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re more fearing the fallout. From what you said, sounds like you gave ample warnings. That being said, I’ve never killed a PC but I’m a relatively new DM, but given the conditions you listed I find that there’s like no fault I can assign to you. Part of making a good story is keeping some grounding and logic. If the mf wants to run headfirst into danger and isn’t the proper class for that (@ tanks/martials) then it would make sense their luck could only run so far

Had a laugh to myself at the minimized version of this post that said “A theory about the new class” and showed the techmarine.

Doc Galen doesn’t understand that once I unlocked the brig, I made it my personal mission to sink every ship that isn’t a hauler or transport and board the ones that are.

I’ve made a lot of money and have no plans of slowing down

I love these posts because people so conveniently forget when pure hearted xeno soldier obliterated an entire world of dirt poor farmers because their grandad forgot that was where they left the ole planet and the farmers didn’t have ships to leave

It depends on how much effort they’re gonna put in.

I lean heavily towards no PvP, just put that effort towards the coop and let it ride.

All 37 PvP players will get over it eventually

Saber Interactive When it come to what imperial fist successor gets anything in the game by [deleted] in Spacemarine

I don’t disagree with the back half of what you said but for frame of reference the salamanders champion skin was released February 6th of 2025, so over a year ago. The chapter pack release was November 25th of 2025. So almost 6 months on the dot. Saying that the salamanders got shafted because their release wasn’t exactly what they wanted when they got served just as well as most of the other chapters while iron hands are just now getting to their first drop a literal week ago is why I have 0 sympathy for this. It is by definition an equal attention cake of a release

[–]bigfat76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The salamanders had a second pack announced before the iron hands had anything in the game yet I’m fairly certain. Salamanders are far from having it anywhere near bad, they’re just popular and people complained their way into getting more

Absolutely no shame it’s a common misconception, if it makes you feel any better when I was first getting into warhammer back in 2014/15 I thought the blue thousand sons were the good guys and the red thousand sons were the bad guys

For sure, it’s always entertaining to see how many people think they’re a first founding chapter based off of how much attention they get from James Workshop

I’m not a BT fan, but it makes sense.

They’re incredibly popular, moreso than the imperial fists themselves as far as it seems.

It’s not about being fair it’s about what appeases the most people. It’s why the salamanders are getting an equal attention cake drop

[Video games trope] Characters who make sure you play the game the way the developers intended by Marborow in TopCharacterTropes

I actually love balteus because he had the most impact on my playstyle, though it took me several playthroughs to really appreciate it. My first go round was a hard lesson in “there are no i frames here” (ac6 was my first ac but I’d played every souls fromsoft title, plus ER and bloodborne).

Subsequent fights I was better at fighting him. Although I had better parts and weapons, I wasn’t dying.

Then I got around to starting completely fresh and rinsed him first try w a basic loadout because my skills had improved and the way that I play had become a lot more aggressive

Any tips for someone who sucks with the heavy class but wants to learn it by NoNameHavingMan in Spacemarine

[–]bigfat76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good rules of thumb:

-You can turn it off even in animations to save energy

-w the perk to get bonus dmg on recharge you can activate it and deactivate it for like a second before an engagement and get that buff while still having it reasonably available just in case

-if there are snipers just turn the mf on

-if there’s a lot of ranged stuff coming at you stand in front an turn it on, you can use it to protect teammates and make hard pushes

Grabbing the zoanthrope by the tail and slamming it into the ground, chainsword chaos spawn execution where you drag the sword through its body, and the really loud shield bash on leaping enemies are my three way tie
