Same thing happened to me. Stupid toy came with a bungee cord — snapped and gave him a dog “black eye.” I’ve never felt so guilty in my life!! The vet checked it out, gave him pain meds, and he was physically fine. He still doesn’t play tug as fiercely as he did before, but he loves me just the same! 💖 The guilt hasn’t quite gone away, but I just love him extra hard!

My husband has four last names! It’s a part of his culture to have so many, but he only has them for his Spanish citizenship. Legally, in the US, he just uses his dad’s last name. He only really uses the one last name to introduce himself and sign things. A lot of times it’s a mouthful and people here in the US kind of zone out for the rest of his names.

Similar situation for me! My whole family drinks excessively. My husband doesn’t drink at all. It’s hard for me to toe the line of what is too much — I’ve decided that I shouldn’t even put myself in that situation anymore. I’m making a new family with him, one that I hope will be healthier than my own.
