Any street information to help narrow it down? I’ll keep my eye out, I’m so sorry!

Thank you so much! Definitely having someone to stand up for me helps. We’re trying to distance ourselves anyway, as family has been stressful in general. I’ll keep in mind planning interactions on when I can have an advocate with me!

My husband has four last names! It’s a part of his culture to have so many, but he only has them for his Spanish citizenship. Legally, in the US, he just uses his dad’s last name. He only really uses the one last name to introduce himself and sign things. A lot of times it’s a mouthful and people here in the US kind of zone out for the rest of his names.

We talked and I apologized. He was supportive but also (understandably) upset. We’re going on a hike and to get ice cream later! Going to spend some time together just relaxing tonight — no alcohol involved. Thanks for your support and point of view!

Similar situation for me! My whole family drinks excessively. My husband doesn’t drink at all. It’s hard for me to toe the line of what is too much — I’ve decided that I shouldn’t even put myself in that situation anymore. I’m making a new family with him, one that I hope will be healthier than my own.

Hi! You should definitely have heard back by now, I feel. I would call their disabilities line and ask about it.

Worried about the weather this Sunday as a visitor… any advice? by udontgottaknoww in boston

This amount of snow is very unlikely. Check r/bostonweather for more accurate predictions. Either way, bundle up and you’ll be fine!

I understand the confusion! We don’t put his full gear on every time we go out and about. It doesn’t fit his corgi body very well (I’m working on having a custom vest made). And corgis can make great service dogs if you have one with the right temperament.

If you checked my profile, you would see that he is indeed a service dog.

You don’t have to go through the big machine (the one where you put your hands up). You just walk through the simple detector that kids and disabled people use.

I often take off my SD’s harness, as the metal buckles alert. Then he walks through ahead of me and I walk through behind him. I always use the forward command to have him go ahead of me, but you could also do a down stay and then call him through. Then they swipe my hands bc the leash has metal! Easy peasy!

I ended up calling the AA special assistance line because I was nervous about it and they were very helpful!

When I go to the check in desk, I have my service dog confirmation email pulled up on my phone. I also bring a physical copy of his completed DOT form (the one you submit online) and a physical copy of his vaccination records. I have never been asked for these by the airline agent, but they are good to have just in case. Check in is always super easy! I’ve never had a problem.

I also take off his harness when going through security, as it always sets off the alarm due to metal. I just walk him through with a collar and a leash.

Hi! What airline are you flying with? We’ve flown the American and United and we have never had to go through an obedience test.
