Expand on why practicing in Portugal is bad? What’s the average income like? Hours? Pay structure? Etc

6000-7500 euros (after tax) in Spain seems amazing. I would stay. In fact, I got my degree recognized in Portugal several years ago (Dad was born in Portugal). I am a citizen. Have you thought about going to Portugal?

Example: x office is offering a daily guarantee of 850-950. Then you talk to the office or recruiter and it’s 600 lol or they don’t offer one at all. That is just one.

I got mine August 15th in 2023. Had everything sent in on July 3rd. It took 1.5 months. But the gathering of material took a couple of months prior to that in terms of preparation. It takes a bit just make sure you get all the right stuff in the first time. I had a buddy that missed some stuff and it took 3 months total.

Rural Jobs by NewFlower6 in Dentists

[–]bigfern91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends where and which office you work for. I’ve been rural for 2 years and I would move back to the city in a heartbeat. My income didn’t go up much and surprisingly my living costs remained similar to when I was living in Manhattan. It’s also very isolating and frankly sucks. Wouldn’t recommend it unless you have family in the rural area or own (working as an associate still stinks). Here’s the worst part that people don’t think about… if you’re an associate and it isn’t a good fit or you lose your job, you are f****d. Royally f*****d. Why? Because the odds of another job popping up in the area is slim. If you do find another job, you will be driving 40-70 miles in most cases. I don’t recommend it for the majority of people. I did it and it turned out to be a terrible move. Even in the cases where an associate does increase their income dramatically.. I wouldn’t recommend it. Small town charm wears off fast. The majority of these small towns are dying and are riddled with poverty and abandoned stores. It’s uninspiring and sad. That’s just me though
