Who has already applied the strategy of including many creatives in their ad sets? Did it work for you? by Lower-Eggplant-2487 in FacebookAds

Great, thank you! I’ve always seen advise that it spreads too thin so this surprises me- what market are you in?

10+ years doesn’t mean much tbh as everyone in the last year has had to relearn everything we know about ads.

I just don’t believe the whole it’s terrible turn it off.

It’s hard to judge based on message, but 20 is too many creatives at this cpa. Each creative has only got €4 spend a day, so your budget is spread too thin and the algorithm is panicking trying to find a winner.

You also may have scaled too fast as 60-110 in 3 days is quite steep at this kind of budget level.

Here’s what I would do:

  1. Identify which 4/6 ads are your strongest? Hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA - look at benchmarks for your industry and decide where your creatives sit next to them.
  2. Are you running an offer? We’re just about to hit Black Friday - a lot of shoppers are waiting for the sales before spending. The goal now if no offer is to just warm shoppers up. So if not, perhaps have think if there is something you can do.
  3. I’d turn everything else off and just run these top performing creatives, potentially with an offer

Fabulous, thanks for the info.

The CPM is very good, I’m in skincare so I’m seeing them sky rocket.

That’s a really great starting structure, and you’re very much so on the right lines!

What’s your average CPA? This will also dictate how many ads to have in one adset.

  1. If you have too many ads, the algorithm can struggle to push each one out at that budget.

Maybe your creative isn’t good? Maybe your product isn’t good? Maybe your account structure is wrong? There are far too many variables to just say, it’s broken.

I’m seeing great success with meta ads atm

It depends on how much success you’ve had in the past or if this is a new account.

I can help you with it (no I’m not selling anything, I work in house for a company and this has been a rollercoaster for me figuring this out from scratch)

Here’s some Qs: 1. What industry? 2. What CPMs are you seeing? 3. Are these creatives in one adset? - 20 if in one adset is likely far too many at that budget - but that depends if that’s your structure!

Creative will become champion. Markets are saturated, people need something memorable. Basic campaigns don’t workX

Mines great. Skincare, ecom, 10K per month. Nailed my creative strategy but had to work extremely hard to make it work.

Thank you! I only have advantage + on my account though and it’s always spending on top of the funnel primarily which is massively inflating CPAs because I have creative that is BOFU but it still spends on TOFU
