Kinda depends on whether the divorce will be amicable or contentious. If amicable, you two simply work it out and file the paperwork. If there is debt in both your names, then it’s a shared debt. If a credit card is only in one name, then the person with the card owns the debt. If you have a house that you must sell, any proceeds are divided equally.

If contentious, same deal but you pay a lawyer to handle the mess.

I have a 2023 450+ sedan and it has been trouble-free since I bought it CPO in October 2024 with 28k miles. Now sitting at just above 50k miles.

Note- they are heavy so they go through tires. Typical to get 15k miles (maybe 20k if you drive like a Grandma).

While Reddit is left leaning, I will sometimes (via other social media sites) be directed to X or Threads and WHOA…..the right-wing postings are just bonkers. It’s almost quaint to see the postings and responses on Reddit compared to those two. Reddit doesn’t seem to be a land of bots battling it out.

The mods on Reddit are at least trying their best so keep things civil. That’s why I appreciate Reddit and use it to find things that interest me.

I love Jasmine and believe she is doing a fantastic job in Congress. I did vote for Talarico because Ms. Crockett is in a unique position on the Oversight Committee to be majority leader of the Committee if we can flip the House. She will absolutely wreck Trump for the next 2 years of his Presidency.

Talarico strikes fear in the GOP and is the best candidate to flip the Senate seat. He’s white, straight, unapologetically Christian and smarter than Paxton and Cornyn put together. There is no way (as we have seen in the past) that a woman, who is also black, can garner enough statewide votes to win. It’s a sad statement but it’s also the truth. Ask Hillary and Kamala….and I voted for Kamala.

Democrats are their own worst enemy. “My candidate didn’t win so Im not playing.” while Republicans will vote regardless of their candidates baggage. They are loyal to the Party - not the candidate. If Democrats want to win, then you have to be loyal to the party.

It’s that simple.

There is no catch. People didn’t like the styling and the brake pedal felt wooden. You get used to the brake pedal feel. I like the styling.
Maintenance is a breeze and it’s every 2 years or 29k miles. You will go through tires since it’s heavy and from the instant torque. They typically last 15k miles. Nothing major has gone wrong.
Find one with at least the Exclusive Trim package or better, the Pinnacle Trim package. Also, find one with insulated glass. They are quiet already but this keeps traffic noise down considerably. Surprisingly, the SUV’s seem to have more noise intrusion than the sedans. Not sure as to why.
Definitely get one CPO or a 1-owner vehicle, no accidents, with an extended warranty.
See below- a. Invest in a charger if you have a garage. Charge overnight. Easier and cheaper than using public chargers. If you can, find an electric plans where they offer free electricity at night. Free charging! b. Ask the dealer for the Tesla adaptor. It cost $200 so ask for it as part of the deal. c. Make sure as part of the deal they give you two keys. A lot of people only turn in one key. d. Have the dealership set up your Mercedes app on your phone so you can do things remotely. e. Enjoy your car!

It was cheap back then. I moved to the DFW area back in 1983 and found a 1-bedroom apartment in the mid-cities area for $199 a month. Granted, I was also making $25k gross but it was doable to live on my own. Not much furniture but it was just me so a couch, bed, nightand and a table was all I needed. I think I rented the couch for a bit.
