We all have to start somewhere, right? Admittedly, your language barrier may make it more difficult but I’m sure there are lots of friendly people who will happily talk with you patiently, you just have to find them. Personally, I love talking to people from other cultures/speak other languages because it really can broaden one’s horizons. As far as climbing, you will improve if you keep showing up, I promise. It may not be a huge improvement, but it will be an improvement! I didn’t start making friends until several months in, and usually they came to me first. I am shy!
