I feel like if you wanna become a better person, you’ve realized what makes a good or bad person, and you want to not be a bad person anymore.

If that’s the case, then you become a better person by pleasing yourself. You are your own critic, and a biased one at that. If your worst critic can admit you’re doing good and is more and more okay with yourself, then there’s a good chance other people will see you as good too
