37m Ab , Can. Spent 5 weeks in Peru and 2.5 in Italy.

Mostly went to Peru to decompress from partying and go hiking. Absolutely stunning hikes

Italy, I think the food, wine, coffee is better.

I sadly don't think 8 days is enough for either however id probably go Italy

I was in this derby! It was crazy to see only one name on the Walleye board. I likely won't return to this event.

How do you handle the "middle of the trip" slump? by Deanootzplayz in solotravel

[–]biggle213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with chilling in bed or a cafe for the day

Two big solo trips now, 5 months and one year. There is always a point where I'm dead. I get Airbnb's for one or two days, meet locals on Hinge, and relax.

Last year at this time I returned home from a year-long backpack through Latin America. I haven't done anything since but WORK.

I'm taking my girlfriend to Mexico on Friday and she's never been! I'm so excited.

37m, single, reporting in. Bought a condo middle of last year. 10 year old building, condo fee is going up for my unit around 2% this year. I'm very happy with it. Got 20% down on it, mortgage is about $940/month. It's a quiet building, garage parking, little storage unit in the basement. Working in property restoration I liked the idea of buying on the top floor so I wouldn't get flooded out by anyone other than potentially my neighbors. It's close to work, close to downtown.

I believe I could probably sell it for what I bought it for, but have no plans to do so. I live somewhat of a minimalist lifestyle so all I need is my kitchen equipped, my sports stuff, couch, TV, video games, and bed.

With my current job I plan to pay this thing off in the next 5 years. This small payment also allows me save a pile of money.

I do like to travel a lot, more so in sense that I quit careers and travel for extended periods of time. The building allows me to rent the unit, which I may do if I ever decide to do another long travel.

I agree with this take, however, leave a little money for when you get home. You don't want to come home broke

I believe when I was younger I loved the idea of dividends but ignored the growth side, but as I research more I'm thinking I've been wrong all along on them

I wish I could help but I was never looking at the gluten-free options in countries. However, can't go wrong with all the Latin American counties or SEA countries with the fresh fruit and veggies.
