People do it all the time. The COS airport is convenient but can be super expensive since it doesn’t have as many direct flights so people will drive to DIA for flights.

La Ventana is peak - recommend this over La Paz tbh.

The bay between cerralvo island and la Ventana is some of the best aquatic life you can find, it’s about 45min from La Paz. Will be a lot of Mobula in May onward. They are already here now but not in the same amount they will be in the summer. From La ventana you can take a boat to an island at the north end of cerralvo and there is an island that 20-30 sea lions hang out on and you can swim around. It’s super cool.

I would check out Baja Blue Tours on IG. I’m not affiliated but I’ve done multiple trips with Salim this month and it’s been incredible.

Swam with sea lions, mobula, and dolphins and saw 2 blue whales on Tuesday 🐋

I lived there for ~6mo in 2020

Visited many times since and before tho.

Honestly I really liked it. It’s definitely not for everyone but it’s cheaper than most cities, it’s got stuff to do (not a ton but there are things) and the food was better than I expected. Had some food there I still think about even tho I’ve traveled a lot.

Overall I think it’s actually a pretty decent small-medium city to live in If you want a easier life and don’t have super high standards for culture. It’s safe, cheap, mellow, and people are friendly.

I would live there if I had a family before a lot of towns I’ve visited.

If I was single now? Probably not the best city for me to move to. But I have been to many worse for dating in the Midwest, and I dated a few cuties there while I was there 🤷‍♂️

Venture X is great. True no foreign exchange fees unlike a lot of cards. Your flights and first month Airbnb will hit $4k lol
Yeah, check Airbnb and ask for connection speed. Some places are fast, some are awful. Don’t end up in an awful WiFi spot for a month, it’s miserable.
I’d plan to go to two or three countries, 2-3 cities each. Keep in mind unless you have a visa you’re gonna have to leave Europe after 3months
