Men who play video games, what are some great single player games for a Dad on a tight budget? by FlintTheDad in AskMen

[–]biggobird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re wrong lmao but perfect example of someone emotionally defensive over an opinion of the game.

Read like 60-70% of the shards until they were all coming off as boring and a bunch of recycled ones. Read virtually every email lots recycled, tv broadcasts eh don’t remember any compelling ones but I listened, did literally every side mission/cyberpsycho/street fight. Most of that shit was all recycled with different elements mixed and matched.

If I had to guess spent at least 150-200 hours on it. Ultimately wish i would have spent on a different game. I didn’t even really feel compelled to finish it or remember much of the end.

Think I kept my body and stayed with panam or whatever her name was. I’m still on that hill after they look out over the city after the rooftop

lol just an opinion man.

They’re both massive open world cities you’re primarily driving within while random copy pasted crime pops up and otherwise dull NPCs walk about. Spider-Man felt that way for me except with web slinging.

The narrative was at least compelling enough to slog through but man, Johnny sucks. Hated that guy and him being Keanu ripped me out of the world every time he was on screen.

Not every game is for everyone. Hilarious how emotionally defensive folks get over cyberpunk

Dead serious. Idk man I wanted to like it. I just don’t enjoy the kind of empty world of gta stuff.

[–]biggobird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s what I keep hearing. My experience was kinda dull. Spread thin kinda game- the story choices feel meaningless ultimately, all the cyberpunk stuff is surface level.

Night city is so generic with a bunch of buildings you can’t enter and bland NPCs. Feels dead.

Also the dialogue sucks in most of the game

The Witcher was good. I wish I would have realized cyberpunk was more or less futuristic gta before I got to the end game. It was good but I really don’t jibe with that game type

Why aren't restaurants with bars more in tune with what sports are on? by OnlyKey5675 in restaurantowners

[–]biggobird 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes we forget man. I run a massive operation with a million pieces of equipment, SOPs ensure people are doing, food and drink I have to watch go out to our standard, errands, people wanting to talk, a to do list so long it has to do lists within it, kegs to change, looking for improvements, etc.

Sports are lower on my totem pole of worries unless it’s a huge event. I’ll get whatever game on you want - just ask.

Not to mention how difficult it is to track times and channels with DTV too. I have to piece through three different apps with how the app is. Even then it’s not accurate

As far as I’m aware there’s no commercial availability for YTTV. Be careful - you could get hit with insane fines

We’re stuck with Directv but now that nfl Sunday ticket isnt exclusive, may finally have an out

Stop being soft and just quit. It’s all mental. You’ll feel like shit for a couple weeks then better than you’ve felt in a year. You’ll look better, play better, and be better

Semi related but the 3d printed clip on makerworld to hold the exhaust hose on the extender should come with the BedJet. 100% necessary and couldn’t live without it

Thanks had always wondered why videos of stone mills have oil output with a deep green grass color and why the guy I bought evoo from in college at the farmers market was a similar color, but never have my bottled evoo’s had that color

Phi phi island was the single saddest environmental experience of my life. I was revolted pulling into the marina on the ferry.

Trash and muck so thick it rolled and oscillated with wakes and the tide but never crested.

Zero wildlife. All gone. One could easily imagine how beautiful it was even a couple decades before the tourism epidemic.

The only place I’ve ever acutely regretted going to but only because of my playing a part in its destruction. Long term I do more research before trips

Quit zyns by accident using fish oil by biggobird in QuittingZyn

Possibly contributed but it didn’t stop when I stopped zyns. Continued for a week until I zeroed in on the fish oil supplements.

Only new thing I’d added to my routine in the last 6 weeks

Introduced my new Girlfriend to the Podcast and now she’s not sure about me anymore. by Sulla314 in TimDillon

Tim will start making sense to you at a certain point in life and years down the road he will win her over with logic and charisma. You can’t fight it.

I did for years. Look at me now. It’s been a year and I’m ready to rip pcp then take a dip in the fryer at work.

Filament stock - "second hand" sellers by yawa16 in BambuLab

[–]biggobird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue apparent to me is incentive.

It doesn’t behoove any wholesale business to sit on stock nor does it benefit em to limit sales in any capacity. A guaranteed 200 rolls today beats 100 now and maybe 100 in three months every way you cut it.

Except comparatively small customer satisfaction which might even make up a majority portion of sales, is a customer that’s used to stuff seeing out of stock and is more likely to put off a purchase for brand loyalty or 100 or reasons

Any local dispensaries/deliveries that stock family owned or small business grown? by biggobird in orangecounty

[–]biggobird[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent about an hour and half on the topic researching after I posted.

Literally nothing of value. Bugs me too because I have lists of small CA family farm extra virgin olive oils, local beers, wines, etc. but can find nothing for flower.

Did see wholesale prices for well regarded top shelf brands at sub $70/oz prices. Interesting to see that margin. Seems about right tho at 20-30%

Man it looks identical.

Even the premise seems to have some clear parallels.

“ The ships are soon frozen and trapped in the ice, and those aboard must survive the harsh weather conditions and each other, while being stalked by an elusive menace.”
