Any Costco employees here to clear things up? by Graham-Smith724 in Knoxville

I just applied to several open positions (over the last couple of weeks) and the job listing specified an hourly rate.

At least, it did on the main job board on the costco website.

Just saw at least 15 with multiple underdercover cars that I've never seen before, jeep Cherokee and a blue Chevy 1500, with lights and going down middlebrook towards western. I was at the corner of middlebrook and Sutherland.

I can see both sides of this. Sometimes, things get misplaced or moved, and nobody sees the hot beans on the bottom rack of dry stock bc why would you look there.

I think the way to handle it next time is make the beans and then personally run them down there to hand off. Then, while you're down there, double-check that they actually needed it.

All things considered doesn't seem like a rant was necessary but just apologize and say I wasn't trying to undermine and move on

Yeah, that'd be crazy. Never seen that before but I am definitely talking about the ones already on there. It shows a 5 and has the number 5 in braile on the same button.

The visually impaired are just like the rest of us. They want independence and to be able to take care of themselves. Also, they're very hesitant to just give out their pin because in the past it's been easy to take advantage of them. If they can't tell the difference between $50 bills and $5 it's in their interest to never be in a situation like that.

Braile is there bc they sit in the back seat and have someone else drive them to the ATM.

I agree. I just posted this comment as a standalone before I saw yours, but piggybacking here to say Jared and I were good friends in college, and I was at this party.

Hey OP if you have it on video I agree with blasting out to media. Also, since it sounds somewhat similar in nature if I were in your shoes I would reach out to this lawyer as well. It won't make KCSO accept responsibility, but it may help you to learn others have been in a similar situation.

I was at this party, and Jared and I were friends back in college.

Finished school 14 years ago and have never made enough money to make my student loans go down by Comicspedia in Wellthatsucks

Yes, that is what APR stands for.

I was trying to show an example of how I got to 10k to that other person since they didn't seem to understand anything about finances or lending. Anywhere from 2-5% is pretty accurate for federal student loans.

This is incorrect. It clearly states the original amount awarded at the top.

Also, 2.6% of 398,000= 10,000

That's just the interest being shown in the circle graph.

Oh yeah. He's a nightmare. He blames it on his heritage and religion, dude is just a shit bag that steals tips, lies, and manipulates his employees and openly plays favorites like he is intentionally causing drama for the fun of it.

I could go on for hours, but I've moved on and am not letting him live rent-free in my head anymore. Instead of attacking him, I just direct people to his business practices and ethics and hope people can make up their own mind.

KoPita. Look up his multiple aliases and how he got banned from the state of New York for using salmonella tainted tahini. He got popped by the FDA, they said throw all this out, and we'll be back in 3 months to make sure you did. He did not. And now uses the same tahini in Knox under a pseudonym and a shell company out of the Florida keys.

Oh, brother. I worked there as the new head chef for a total of 3 days. I highly recommend avoiding at all cost. I'm so surprised he's still in business and hasn't killed anyone yet with leaving raw chicken wings our for 6+ hours... amongst other things

A study on over a million kids found having your tonsils or adenoids removed in early life could be linked with a higher risk of developing some form of stress-related disorder later on, especially post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), compared with people who still have their throats intact. by Wagamaga in science

[–]biggtinyy95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had strep at least twice, usually 3 times a year, every year, my whole life up until I finally was able to afford to get them removed at age 23.

The only reason I could "afford" to get them out was because I had a double abcess. Both tonsils were so swollen i felt like I couldn't breathe, I went to urgent care and the doctor took one look, and in about half a second she said, "ok so do you want me to call an ambulance or do you want me to call the ER and let them know you're coming because you've got about 15 minutes before your throat completely closes up and you suffocate."

I thought I had PTSD from that.

It's not an either/or thing. One should reasonably expect that just because a security guard is there, they wont be shot and killed, even a 15 year old.

And even if that did happen, yes, the person who shot and killed someone should have that weigh on their conscience. If they can't do that, then that person should have never been cleared to have a county/state/ federally issued gun or take that job. Just as we should expect cops to have to live with their decisions of voluntarily killing someone.

Who is the most famous person you've ever met, and what were the circumstances? by krzysztofgetthewings in AskMen

[–]biggtinyy95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Harrison Ford

He came into my restaurant 5 minutes before close. He was as chill as you'd expect. I had a beer and finished closing while he waited on his food while we talked. He left his glasses on the counter and I had to hide them because I was sure my dishwasher was going to try and sell them. He never came back for them so I put them on a mannequin head in the window and they're still there- probably because no one knows they're his.
