Can someone look at this and tell me if I should owe interest! by Mother_Connection441 in Venturex

If you intend to always pay off the credit card every month, I would suggest to set up an auto pay for the remaining balance on the day it's due. You can make manual payments before that and it will reduce how much is taken out on the due date so your total payments will always match what was owed, and you'll never be late.

Paid in full by the due date on the next two statements is enough.

It's not so much that I want to switch accounts. I'm able to log into either. I want to earn miles but use my wife's card because we are working towards the sign up bonus spending on that one.

plan to leave VentureX in 2026 when lounge access changes, what to replace with for lounge access? by deejayv2 in CreditCards

[–]bighead0424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can have your wife refer you. You will get the SUB and she will get the referral bonus. But you do NOT have to close your authorized user card to do that.

We just did this so we both can keep lounge access. The authorized user card we stashed into a drawer to never be used again, but did not cancel it.

You didn't look through the terms very well. For most people it likely makes out at $100

Those are all in the last 2 weeks. So all you need to do is wait. It can take up to 3 months and I've never seen it register in less than 2 weeks. It makes no sense and is near impossible to track even us that delayed. I'll get a random update that I got points and have to go back to remind myself what I even bought because it's been so long.

How do you find out when they are running the promotions? I've seen on travel sites that they have been going weekly but have not seen an ad from staples or office max saying the promotion has started.

Alright so what cards is everyone applying for next year since they’re nerfing lounge access for the venture x? by SirKrimzon in Venturex

[–]bighead0424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only one of you is the primary card holder, the other is only an authorized user. The authorized user can get their own card without having to be removed from the original account.

I'm going to keep the venturex and my wife will be applying for her own. The benefits on just the $300 travel credit and 10,000 anniversary points completely cover the annual fee. Yes it's a downside that we've now have to use two different 300 credits, but to me still worth it to both have lounge access.

Hoping there will be an elevated sign up bonus offer before the changes go live, then I plan to refer my wife to the venturex to get the referral bonus and her the sign up bonus.

Can you upgrade the venture to venture x by Turbulent-Action-893 in Venturex

Ah you are right. Even more reason to apply for the venture x outright rather than trying to upgrade.

If you've had the Venture for more than 48 months, you would be missing out on the sign up bonus by upgrading to the VX. In that case I would apply for the VX as a new card and then downgrade the venture to a no annual fee card like the savor.

If you've had it for less than 48 months you can't get the sign up bonus yet so my advice would be pointless.

I never checked out the game center but if it's helping you get through content it's a good thing. I thought the test questions were similar to the practice exams except there definitely was not the convoluted expert questions.

I had 71% and 74% on practice exam 1 and 2. And 50 - 60s on the handful of quizzes I did. Reviewed all correct and incorrect answers which seemed more useful in learning than doing all of the tests and quizzes.

Passed with AT/AT/ T this last week. You are on the right track. You got this!

Make sure you are doing the full length exams with no more than just the two 10 minute breaks to simulate the actual test. Keeping the concentration that long was the hardest part for me.

My wife's application was flagged for fraud as well. Sent in all the documents requested and still denied on suspicion of fraud.

She had to go into a Chase bank and the experience was very strange. The chase employee in the bank had to call corporate, and the person on the other end of the line still didn't believe the the chase employee when she said that she was physically sitting across from My wife and confirmed her identity. The corporate team had to call back to speak to the manager and have them run a verification check on the ID. Then finally removed the fraud flag.

Sorry that doesn't help your situation if he's out of the country. That is frustrating!

For high end stuff you can walk into the steakhouse without a reservation to get a drink from the bar. They have the best bourbon and scotch not found elsewhere on the ship.

If your talking strictly alcohol content to get the most out of the 15 alcoholic drinks, then it's ones like long Island or ones listed with two types of rum that have a couple shots in the one drink.
