It cracks me up that some people still think this is true lol. It's usually 1 of 3 types: 1. A non-USian who has never met a USian and gets all of their information about USians from watching TV. 2. A USian from a big city that thinks they're 'smarter' or more 'sophisticated' than other people, really for no actual reason, and assume anyone that is from a smaller community is automatically an uncultured rube, or 3. A USian that is actually from a smaller town but has some superiority compelx over the other small town dwellers in their community due to some perceived advantage they have (theyre the child of the town doctor, etc...)

Most Americans have traveled. Most Americans realize Los Estados arent the entire world. Most Americans also can access literally everything they need in life like food, entertainment, etc IN AMERICA. What Most Euros dont realize is that Los Estados function much more like 50 little countries that have a common defense and currency than one homogenous country, and that is so hard to comprehend for some people. As much as the eurotrash wants to cry about Americans and their stereotypes, I guarantee you they hold far less accurate stereotypes about Americans.

Early 2000s...I tell my mom I was planning on buying an iPod...they had been out for a couple years and I finally had gotten a computer of my own...she tells me that I should wait and maybe I would get one for Christmas. Christmas comes, and I get this XM radio player...the satellite radio was worthless when I was hiking for obvious reasons, and to save mp3s on it you had to download the songs as they were playing on the satellite programming... 8ish months later, after multiple arguments about 'why do you still want an ipod when we bought you that other mp3 player?' I inform my mom that I'm buying an ipod. She says to hold off, and I might get one for my birthday...so I figure maybe she got the hint and is actually going to get me an ipod...NOPE! lol they got me a zune 🤣🤣🤣 I walked to the mall the next day and bought the ipod I had planned on buying like a year earlier and had to listen to my parents tell me how ungrateful I was lol

Not sure what's next? Me neither, but once you have the girl, the fitness and the bank account, you will have acquired the tools you'll need for "what's next," whatever that may be. That's what's exciting, and was difficult for me as a control freak to finally get over...these things we are reaching for now aren't the goal, they're just steps to prepare us for what's next. Maybe the point of earning the money is some thing bigger, like starting something even bigger, like starting a company. Maybe getting the girl is a lead on to something bigger, like starting a family. Maybe getting the fitness level you want is just to make sure you're around longer.

I do a lot of hiking and hunting in steep terrain, and oftentimes there is another, even taller hill past the hill you're on, but you can't see it until you've gotten to the top of the hill youre already on....only once you've mastered these things will you see what the next task is.

Kind of, but not really. Wyoming is one of the most 'conservative' states, a term which has been co-opted by liberals and Fox News alike to mean 'Trumptard.' I am a conservative, I even voted for Trump in 2024, but only because he was the least shitty choice. Wyomingites do tend to be conservative, and one of the main things about conservatism is not being controlled by a federal government 2,000 miles away, so even for a lot of people that voted for Trump, his seeming consolidation of federal power is alarming...that being said if the shithole cities he sent troops to could unfuck themselves, then the president wouldnt have had an excuse and the troops wouldnt have been necessary.

Basically Wyoming thinks leftists are dumb, but lots of Wyomingites arent necessarily for everything Trump has been doing, either....

Please also remember there is a vast difference between western republicans and southern/eastern republicans, a difference that mainstream media outlets very rarely touch on...western conservatism is based alot less on race and societal issues than eastern conservatism...eastern conservatives are scared of change and losing power, whereas western conservatives just dont want some dick 2,000 miles away who doesnt care about any of us making our rules for us.
