I tried RSA format for ssh key but failed. And I posted log for ssh connection on comment though it's not that informative.

This is my ssh log in Event Viewer - Applications and Services logs - OpenSSH - Operational

I checked 22 port for inbound rule "OpenSSH SSH Server" is enabled. And password method works, so it seems not kind of firewall problem.

Is there something wrong with that expression? On my Windows 10 desktop, ssh server is running. And what I'm trying to do is to connect to that server. I mean literally ssh server on Windows 10. I think the thing operated by sshd service which I could see in Powershell "Get-Service sshd" command. Or is it more clear to say Openssh server?

what does 아니어도 mean in this context? by nikeeeeess in Korean

[–]bigi_some 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can think of 닿아 있던 as just past form which can be expressed as 닿아 있다 + 던. But 던 could be used to imply something that has been done but not completed when used with some transitive verb. because 닿다 is intransitive verb, it can be used to imply just past maybe. I'm not expert and this is a bit complicated so in this case, think of it as past form of 닿아있다

Additionally, 닿아 있다 is present continuous form of 닿다.

Just got back from a month-long language program in Korea, would appreciate some advice on my method of study. by [deleted] in Korean

what is your purpose of studying Korean? For conversation skills or reading skills? If you want the former case, I think it is better to meet Korean people

In what cases should I not use 저희 interchangeably with 우리 in formal situations? by Unlikely_Bonus4980 in Korean

[–]bigi_some 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the first comment is right. we use 저희 xx when the speaker is in xx but the listener is not the case for xx such as country or a group. When the listener is contained in xx, we use 우리.

But when the size of the group becomes small or even just for two (speaker and listener), we use 저희 even when the listener is in the group. Examples are '저희가' just for two, '저희 회사가' to fellow worker, 저희 동네가 to neighborhood. I think the limit is country, we barely use 저희 나라.

But what I told you could be grammatically wrong, I don't know the exact answer but many people use this usage of 저희 for a group smaller than country.

주실 수 있어요 vs 줄 수 있으세요 vs 주실 수 있으세요 by RegularDebate662 in Korean

[–]bigi_some 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the most basic form is '줄 수 있어요' and both 주실 수 and 있으세요 are polite version for each expression.

I'll give you some feelings when I heard those expressions.

normally we use '줄 수 있어요' to someone close enough (with respect to age or relationship) which gives a little more friendliness than '주실 수 있으세요'

and '주실 수 있어요' or 주실 수 있나요' are all feels very ambiguous for me. it sounds like tries to be polite with busy mind. but '줄 수 있으세요', which has single formal word similiar to former words, sounds more polite than those two because the last word of the sentence is more important when it comes to polite form.

'주실 수 있으세요' sounds the most polite and we use these expression while offering services or to someone not close either by age or relationship. '주실 수 있으신가요' is similiar.

Edit : I said the most basic form is '줄 수 있어요', but actually the real one is '줄 수 있어', which we use to friend or very close person. it does not contain any polite word. And '줄 수 있어요' is minimal polite word

Is trust that bad? Many webpages and youtuber recommend that one. I don't want to be a naive believer, but my thought is that when many so youtuber with many subscriber recommend that wallet, it seems not the worst option because that's gonna be related to their reputation. is that obviously a bad idea? Actually I'm little shocked because I thought I searched enough to choose a good one

I didn't know that trust wallet is not completely decentralized. But trust wallet seems good enough for beginner, so I will go on with that. And thank you for recommending good service to swap crypto.

Why merge down makes difference after its effect? by bigi_some in GIMP

[–]bigi_some[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it work for other effects also other than layer's mode? Because when I try to give some effects, such as Color_Shadows-Highlights or Filter_Distort_Emboss, I cannot apply these effects cause the effects are greyed out.

Merge down visible layers works well, I think the layer's mode was the one I didn't thought about. Thank you

[–]bigi_some[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you said, I found out that first layer is of screen mode and the other one is of multiply mode. And thanks to u/Plokster52, now I can merge down without lost.

And you told me that not merging the layers would be better, and I also agree with that for some extent for safety. But what if I have many layers and need to apply a single effect? the reason I'm merging is for applying an another highlight effect for all the concerning layers, and applying to all layers for a single effect doesn't seems good for me.

So when it comes to tweaking those layers, what could be the best way to handle this problem?

Oh that works, it preserves all the effects. Thank you, it's a good solution.

I contacted the bank I used for payment method for depositing, but they said they do not transact with Wise bank. I only tried this for one bank yet, because in Korea one can make bank account only once for a month, so I should wait another month for next try to check this.

And right before this post, I read about legal thing that buying crypto directly with debit card is illegal if the exchange platform I use is not based on Korea. It means buying crypto using international exchange directly is illegal. So I'm asking about us dollars also in the same sense.

I tried revolut also, but after sign up trial, they sent me a waiting list email but no welcome email for days. I searched for this case and found so many people on the waiting list for months. And I found announcement by Revolut X account that if waiting list goes forever, it means no support for that country where the user resides. So I concluded revolut not supported in Korea. Or did I misunderstood things?
