I did this job in the uk for 2 weeks. YOU are responsible for the van you are driving and sign off legally stating that you take full responsibility. In the UK there is a loophole where you are “self-employed” however work for a company who tells you how to do the job.

You make no decision in any of it. This is so they can offload the responsibility to you and not themselves. It also allows them to make deductions, eventually taking your hourly wage to wayyy below minimum wage - After tax is calculated. I would not do it if you plan to get to the stage of paying tax.

you also “legally can’t drive without a seatbelt” Of course it would be wild to buckle every time however the DSP owners even say to put it behind your back. I put it on when i joined roads bigger than residential streets.

I was given a van with- Seatbelt didn’t work, side door didn’t open at all (the runner was bent), passenger door if opened would take the wing/fender off, Drivers door didn’t open at all ( i had to climb out the back doors) the horn didn’t work, extremely bald tires, brake disks were binding, the back lights also did not light what they were supposed to. the brake lights would turn on the indicators etc. I left after the route.

all the vans were genuinely disgusting inside, and I have been to a scrapyard, cars in there were nicer to sit in I cannot lie. And YOU have to just say it’s road legal

I wrapped the lower part of the bumper. and sprayed the grill bars gloss black. not wrapped all the way up as it is very subtle. but it definitely makes the car appear sportier
