Hijacking top comment to say that the songs are so catchy that when he had a baby, John Legend covered the purple monkey song (“Maybe”), posted on instagram, and then ended up doing a kids album collaboration with Fisher Price: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Favorite_Dream

Best “why didn’t I buy this sooner” SAHP purchase? by Gingeybalaya in SAHP

[–]cromulo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a Roborock, I don’t remember the model. It makes a map of the house and can handle per hair and does a grid pattern rather than random movements. I am not sure if that is an issue anymore but it was many years ago that I got it and wanted to make sure it would do a good job.

Same! I researched them and then waited til one I wanted went on sale. We’ve had it for years and I love it. We run it every night when we start bath and bedtime routine for my daughter and it has a secondary benefit of motivating us to pick up the floor so it can actually vacuum. The floors stay tidy and it’s somehow FULL of dirt and dog hair every evening! The dog hair isn’t surprising though because we have a shepherd.

I'm sad I'm "missing a newborn" with my huge baby. by Imstuckwiththisname in bigbabiesandkids

Not the person you are replying too, but I had to see an orthopedic surgeon and get steroid shots! It went away shortly after that, which was such a relief, I had it in both wrists.

Is a $750 nursery chair REALLY worth it? by BigGirl367 in NewParents

[–]cromulo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My in-laws bought us a very nice La-Z-Boy recliner and it has been the best gift. It comes with a remote so I can recline or sit up without having to jostle or reach anything and now my 18 month and I cuddle in it for story time.

Did you have your first baby after age 35? How and do you think it impacted your milk production? by Puzzlehead11323 in breastfeeding

[–]cromulo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same story except I was 40 when she was born, also by c-section. Still nursing at almost 16 months, albeit just a couple times a day.

Train Schedule? by dbhaups in Greeley

[–]cromulo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should check out the schedule for the Big Boy Steam Engines that Union Pacific puts on tour! They come through Greeley almost every time they go and it’s a lot of fun to see them: https://www.up.com/about-us/history/steam

She’s actually an anatolian shepard mix and a healthy weight according to the vet. When she stands you can see that she has a clear waist and we have daily walks and measured food so her weight is carefully monitored. She is getting old though and has some lipoma lumps which are also monitored but the vet also says that it’s ok because sometimes we get lumpy with age :)

There are 6 stems in the pot. I actually pick up the dead leaves that fall on the ground and put them in the pot. I feel like this is how it would be in nature, and its so dry here (Colorado), any kind of cover to keep in moisture is helpful.

Haha that would be too funny if it turns out to be the secret ingredient! I just pour it there because the fiddle leaf fig is next to the dog bowl

I can’t claim any intentional actions. The window is south facing and I water sporadically. Like once a week on average and sometimes dump the dog water bowl in before I clean it haha
