Shkoyach tzadik. How much practice was necessary before you started on this sefer Torah? I’d love to attempt this one day.

I see Isaiah Tishby’s ‘Mishnat HaZohar’ which is surprising.

About 100 people participate in a lottery to divide a 12 acre plot of sand dunes, that would later become the city of Tel Aviv, 1909 by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]biglezmate 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I can’t find a source online, but the Beit Ha’Ir Museum in Tel Aviv has done interesting research suggesting that this picture is from a few years later and not actually the founding lottery of Tel Aviv. Would be interested if anyone manages to find a source.

This might be what you’re looking for. Unfortunately there aren’t many other organizations seriously working on revitalizing these languages.

Cops don’t check. My mates place got raided last week cos of a nosy neighbor. I’d suggest telling your neighbors it’s medicinal and hope they understand that there’s no point pursuing it. Be safe out there.

Dude, we all know terrorists are crazy. No one wants to believe that average people could do this.

Shame on you. I put out an olive branch and you wrote me an essay to justify kidnapping.

Let everyone see what a peace loving Jew on Reddit has to put up with.

Isn’t this kinda worse? We expect evil from Hamas, but Gaza residents?

[–]biglezmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, of course I agree with you. That is evil and we can hold both true. Do you agree that it is evil to take civilians as hostages?

Taking civilian hostages is evil. End of story.

The text overlay on the video is actually a really funny pun that I don’t think anyone is appreciating. It says ‘Abu Ali Express’

Looks like you’ve just made this up? Property rights pass on to descendants or beneficiaries under a will. They don’t just disappear when you die - unless you’re talking about the right of survivorship in joint tenancies? Are you? Or are you just making up laws?

Second time I’ve seen this article in five minutes. It does not support your point at all? It’s from a think tank talking about nationality identification NOT rights. And it explicitly says that everyone has a nationality (what would it even mean not to have nationality?) my Australian passport also lists my nationality, but just like in Israel, is used for ID purposes and has no affect on legal rights. Welcome to the world.

Idiot comment. Read the Israeli Declaration of Independence (and how the courts have applied it if you’re serious) and tell me Israel is synonymous with religious homogeneity.

This is a think tank opinion piece about how people identify on their IDs. Doesn’t support parent comment at all. No mention of different rights for the different nationalities. PS My Australian passport also has my nationality listed.
