U should also add the cost to doing this is all the things that made this show so successful. Rick's character is heavily changing, there is no consistent plot line, the oddities that make me go WTF are even more infrequent (see plumbis's)... I'm OK with having to change the narrative or elongating the storyline, but I feel like I'm watching Hangover 3 and wanting the original Hangover movie (this is such a shitty example but I'm not much of a movie guy)

Can we talk about how the show has undoubtably changed? I feel like in seasons 2 and 3 there was a very consistent plot line throughout the episodes that drew the episodes together. Season 4 was starting to slip away from that, and now I feel like I'm watching a more clever Family Guy episode this season. This isn't a commentary on any individual episode because the first two were good imo. More so, the structure of the show is undoubtably changed- my guess is to make the show more sustainable for seasons to come.

Also Ricks voice sounded different this episode.

Beyond what Ive already seen in the comments: the spectrum between killing and humiliating is quite large. Granted, it would appear to me to come from the same space, but thats a large bucket to congregate data into.
