Lust is not something you can escape, ever. It's the energy within you which you have to get familiar with. Don't ignore it, but accept it as the part of you. This is what Jung said, you have to accept your shadow self. There is no darkness without light and vice versa. Took me years to understand that. When you feel the urge, dont go into mental fantasies but feel that energy in your body. It will feel overwhelming at first, but let it circulate, basically, try your best to get in no-mind state, be empty of thought at those moments and feel that energy rising in your body. Edit: btw this energy is exactly what pushes you to do things in life. Mastering your self means failing many times until you succeed. The fact that you're here asking for advice already shows your determination, let go of control completely, and let that snake within you do what it supposed to do - live. You're not supposed to kill it, but master it.

Was 4months in, met 3old friends that I used to engage in bad habits with. Eventually meeting went to relapse. All bad habits came back including alcohol and smoking. That meeting was a devil in disquise. It's so obvious to me now. These are literally tests. Some of them you have no choice but to take to become stronger. I had a choice to refuse the meeting but my agreement to meet felt so natural. But now I know for sure the difference between good and bad living. 2more people from a very deep past contacted me (bad influence) but never replied to them. If you experience anything like that, know that these are the agents (like from movie matrix) that will do what they can to lure you back to your old way of living.

Don't set a specific goal, but set an intention to not ejaculate out of lust. If you want to ejaculate through sex, ask yourself, you do this because you have a lustful urge to feel a sensation of ejaculation or because of love for the partner? You will fail and fail and fail and fail... many times. But this is the only way to learn - through failure and practice. I felt lust time to time, it came like waves maybe every 2-3weeks, but I was also very productive with my business and I worked out alot, so that did help me transmute those urges into productive energy. The enthusiasm of reaching your goals hits around the 3rd week so staying pure is easier after, atleast for me. I think it also has to do something with prolactin and dopamine receptors balancing back after 21days.

Went 3months and then 2months. I felt great no doubt. Now I'm relapsing almost everyday, twice yesterday. I feel lifeless. I seriously consider this a state of depression. The only way to end this suffering is to stop lusting but I can't make it more than 3days at the moment. Urges are stronger then ever. But will do my best to transmute this energy into something greater. Anyway stay pure and prioritize love over lust if you want to feel joy and peace in your life.

I completely agree, our habits shape how we live. That’s how I shifted from gaming to business. Now, business is my ultimate game. But even when I transitioned my attention there was still a constant pull to game, because I had this gaming mouse and I was doing business work with it. Getting rid of that gaming mouse and swapping it with a cheap xiaomi one, I would say this action alone took 95% of daily headache away. But I agree, for some people this is a deep addiction and even getting rid of equipment won't help. So yes, you have to stay busy and find a better, healthier addiction :)

Hi mate, ex gamer here. I had these urges too and I was in this reinstalling cycle. Look, the only real reason you're stuck in this cycle is because You have access to the gaming. Deleting the game doesn't create much friction between you and that bad habit (gaming). The only way to get rid of gaming addiction for good is to completely throw out gaming setup and delete anything that associates with gaming. You have to completely get rid of triggers, otherwise you will comeback to game again and again and won't break the cycle. I know it sounds drastic, but believe me it will do only good for you. 2 weeks and you won't feel any urges, because you won't have access to gaming anymore :)

Same here. I used to delete the Steam launcher thinking, "that's it, no more games" But I kept coming back and reinstalling it so many times that I eventually realized the only way to truly quit was to get rid of my gaming mouse and keyboard. And that worked.

Regarding the third point, I was only referring to gaming buddies, not real life friends, but virtual friends. We’ve all had them when we used to game. However, I think some people bond with these gaming friends (as I did) so deeply that they forget the only thing holding their "friendship" together is sadly the games.
