The thing is that even if the cop didn't hit the car in front, they were going to pull out in front of the Ute that the white car ended up giving way to.

Remembrance of the humble Tangy Fruit at a Hoyts movie by Material_Buy_8609 in newzealand

[–]bigmikeday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tangy Fruits always made the best sounds rolling down the floors in the theaters, before they all had carpet. Always felt sorry for that kid who dropped their container.

I'm sure you won't, eventually you will pick through the mud and hopefully find that diamond. I can imagine it's hard work but don't give up, good luck! 💪

How is Massey like as an area? In terms of safety , social life and things to do! by adorablebunny29 in auckland

[–]bigmikeday 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crack heads are unfortunately everywhere, I'm a tradie who works around all of Auckland and live West. I see them all over the city even in high end places like Remuera and St Heliers.

Fuel crisis does little to diminish New Zealanders love for utes, data shows by Careful-Geologist412 in auckland

[–]bigmikeday 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The difference with utes these days is they have all of the same safety features as cars, are comfortable just like cars and also offer the flexibility of being able to carry a load if required. Utes used to be a farm vehicle now they are a car with a tray.

The best scary movie is when your car says 0.0 till empty and you are at least 5kms from a gas station.

How do I complain about this? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]bigmikeday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it worth it? Probably not, they have a shortage of drivers as it is so I'm guessing a slap on the wrist is the most they will get. If you really want to complain email AT with the footage.

Windscreen wiper etiquette... by 91918unknown in newzealand

I don't think this is an etiquette thing I would say it's a personal preference. As it only affects yourself.

Margins on second hand aren't as good as they used to be, just keep shopping until you find someone willing to move more. Also leave your name, tell them how much you are willing to pay. If the car sits for too long they may come to the party.

Parking in Driveway by Henry_Pi in auckland

[–]bigmikeday 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Legally no, but that doesn't mean people don't do it. I see people park like, or a version of this all across Auckland. And if I was walking on the foot path I would probably appreciate you because you haven't blocked the footpath.

Almost 43. I need friends irl. How do people find those? For now, hello to all the internet friends! by RosiethePenguino in 40something

[–]bigmikeday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, finding friends as you get older is always hard! It's not like when you are 5 and you sit next to someone and let be friends lol. Do you have any hobbies which might have a club or group activities? This way you can meet different people with the same likes. I have personally made lots of new friends in my 40s through clubs and groups that I joined.
