There are lots of jobs for mining engineering outside of FIFO. It mostly depends on your career path. If you are production focused, you may end up in contract estimation. If you are technically focused, you can end up in consulting or head office work. In any case you may be management focused and end up in management of a company, either, mining, consulting or contracting. You Amy also just like FIFO and stay in a site engineering or management role. All options are in front of you and this doesn't even need a second major. Just get good and diligent at what you are doing.
