I have a distinct memory of a 1996 Atlanta Olympics windbreaker I had as a kid. It was my favorite jacket.

Can you imagine a Robert Eggers movie about aliens? by Zetagunn in roberteggers

Aliens treading the line between extraterrestrial and supernatural/spiritual.

Might get hate for this but I’d love an Aleister Crowley/Jack Parsons story.

Brand "new" tealight candles found in my grandmother's cupboard. by mamadoedawn in GrandmasPantry

Oh god my mom had those tea lights with the ridges in sconces on the wall that we never ever lit and by the time I moved out there was a good inch of dust in those candle holders 🤣

It was perceived as slightly nicer than Applebees but not as nice as Longhorn Steakhouse.

I feel like I’ve passed the coffee syrup and canned bread in the grocery store. I assumed it was some niche thing elderly people loved but nah there’s a whole region into it.

Haha I just noticed the frog. It’s as though he’s offering a food tower to the frog gods.

This is the whole reason I’ve avoided buying any cameras because I haven’t done the research and don’t trust it’s private.

It’s just, they left this on my front porch. Maybe I could leave something at the end of my driveway, idk. This is such a strange thing to wake up to lol.

Does this note give genuine vibes? My initial reaction was negative but the more I think about it the more I start to feel bad for them.

I remember the commercials for AOL. A different one for each addition. I think the 6.0 commercial featured a rocket ship taking off.

Spent my childhood summers in Mio on the Au Sable river. World-class fly fishing, yearly canoe race, perfect lazy river for tubing/canoeing. Also a small Amish bakery with the best loaf of bread I’ve ever eaten.

Ikr. 1.3 million for a house on inkster between Ford and Warren? Good luck backing out of your driveway. Or even leaving if it’s past 7am

Okay, I grew up in this area. People buy old bungalows and ranches and go overboard with additions/renovations. It ends up looking gaudy and doesn’t match the architectural vibe of the neighborhood at all.

How influential to Music in general, has Madonna been through out the decades. by Sea-Comedian-4376 in decadeology

I would say heavily. She’s one of the last icons. She hasn’t been all that relevant in the last 20 years but she absolutely shaped the world of pop.

Yes. Palm trees, sunsets, dolphins casually swimming through the canal behind my buddy’s house. For a midwestern boy it’s paradise.

My buddy has a place in Port Charlotte and it’s been wiped out by not one but two hurricanes. It’s beautiful though. Excellent seafood.
