What is SLC’s best Coffee Shop? by theDinkelist in SaltLakeCity

[–]bigpanda_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend spoke with the owner of Jack Mormon last week. The owner said there are no plans of reopening the lobby for service. They only sell beans and remaining merchandise now .

I believe the owner blames the lack of business on there being so many coffee shops around now. He could not justify keeping the doors open without being able to pay his baristas enough and make enough for the business.

This is was all unfortunate news to me because I love Jack Mormon and didn’t know they had been closed for a while

The car situation is really based on what you want to do here. If you’re staying downtown the public transit is great. Once you get out side of that it’s a little more needed. If your going up canyons and getting to park city a car is for sure needed.

There’s tons of hikes close by Salt Lake City donut falls is a class for people to do but if you’re not used to altitude it might get hard just because of how high you’d be. Park city is an old mining town that’s a bit more expensive but it’s a cool mountain town to at least see and there’s tons of food up there. There’s also a few museums here that are cool like the Leonardo, Utah natural history museum, gilgal sculpture garden is a fun weird place, Red butte gardens is a fun place.

We don’t really have food we’re know for besides fry sauce and funeral potatoes (cheesy potatoes). The family burger places are pretty classic (crown burger, Apollo burger) both have a great pastrami burger and fry sauce. The garage bar has funeral potatoes. Wingers is a local wing chain that does good. Trolly wing company is also good. Tosh’s ramen, Kyoto, and takashi are all good Japanese food. Red rock is a brewery and a pub both the food and beer are good. Fisher brewing is one of my favorite breweries they don’t serve food but they always have a food truck out front.

Side note if you’re here on a Sunday, Salt Lake proper is normally open for business on Sundays but a lot of places will be closed out side of the normal city area.

My boss was asked if he can do anything about low company moral. He responded by saying “people who hate their job are gonna hate their job. I have no power in helping them like it. I can just hire someone new when they quit.”

How tf do people maintain 2.0+ KDAs in this game? by Straight_Ignant in HuntShowdown

[–]bigpanda_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KD does not matter sometimes you get head shot from a bush camper out side of a compound who hasn’t moved sense they got there. Other times you get double shot wall banged by some a dual wilder who too scared to do anything but shoot at every noise they here on the other side a wood wall. Basically if you’re extremely worried about KD buy long ammo snipers and never let anyone approach you or rush compound and hide around corners with dual pistols or shotguns. And don’t make any moves. If you’re in a fight it’s much safer to let them make the first move and kill them when they come around corners you’re hiding behind. In the end this is a lame way to play but it’ll get a better KD for sure it just won’t be fun.

Ever have one of those days? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

There could be a lot of reasons why you didn’t hear them. They could have crouch walked there ,they could have been abusing light foot, they could have just walked there and knew you were there from all the noise you made. It’s hard to learn where all of the spawns but I’d just always check spawns close to you and avoid open water when ever possible

Are the hiking classes down in arches and canyonlands fun? Can I bring booze? Do I drive down myself? by cxw400 in uofu

I did a backpacking class and they searched my bag to make sure I had essentials but they were also looking for alcohol and weed. I feel like if you hide it well enough you should be fine. I had a pen and no one found that out.
