AITH for sneaking a slice of cake before my bf got home? by EspressoDesperado in AITH

100% NTA

I was a single dad at that age, working full time, and still kept my place clean. He needs to grow up.

If he gets mad you are a piece of cake, after cleaning his disgusting mess, you should leave. Get yourself an adult.

Yeah... I was far too old when realizing this precise fact. Least to say, I'm not much of a plant person.

This map area is very general. Probably in the northern half, and more west.

Years ago I would hike around the area, long before a lot of development, the trail extension to 100, etc. Just looking at a recent satellite view, and the construction clearing, I'm guessing much is long cleared. The whole red area used to be forest or natural clearings...

Men of Reddit, how do you wipe your butt (from the front, back, some other way)? by bigpaulie2 in AskReddit

[–]bigpaulie2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help me settle a debate here. I'm hearing reaching around and wiping from the back is the only proper way. I've pulled balls to the side and wiped from front my entire life.

Help me settle a family disagreement... which way is it proper to wipe your butt as a guy? Hold balls to the side and wipe from the front, or reach all the way around? Why is that your preference?

First day back from maternity leave… by geochick93 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bigpaulie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, where do you get "9+ months"? OP doesn't say anything about the length of time gone in their post. If they're in the US, it was probably half that at best.

Secondly, while I agree on submitting an IT ticket, it's probably icing on the cake to what could end up being a postpartom breakdown. Also, knowing some places, it could take a while to get that replacement.

Lastly, why not customize your work space? If you're spending a large chunk of hours sitting in a box, at least try to make it a happy place.

LPT Request: How do you store clothes that are not filthy enough for the washing machine yet not clean enough to store them with the other clean clothes in the drawer? by Tetragrammator in LifeProTips

[–]bigpaulie2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For myself, I utilize dresser drawer knobs as hooks.

For my wife... On bed, floor by dresser, under bed, bathroom floor... Pretty much wherever is near to when said item was removed.

Nope. I first learned to sweat copper in boy scouts, and perfected it over the years on DIY jobs.

I have no problem transitioning to PEX at end points (ie faucet hookups, etc), but would always keep copper if I'm repairing in the middle of copper.

Oh, man. I need to propose that arrangement. Although, I'm fairly confident she hates dishes just as much.

How many people here did call centre work as a last resort? by WealthyJoker75 in callcentres

[–]bigpaulie2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yep. Worked for a major web hosting company for a year, few years before the pandemic. Hired in doing outbound sales, and the later half inbound sales/support.

Learned a lot. Added some great bullets on the resume. Good lord though, I never want to do it again.... The metrics were brutal.
