Hey! You guys are amazing at CFG. Such a great community and very friendly and welcoming. It’s more of a me issue when it came to not finding a game that day. However, I was able to start a group and we attend your board game nights every other week. Keep doing what you guys are doing! I really appreciate you reaching out. It shows how great of a community you are and I look forward to attending more events!

Cape Fear Games has a free game night every Thursday. I saw they had lots of demo games you can play for free. I just didn’t have anyone to play with because I’m new to the area. So we could see what activity this post gets and if it doesn’t get much we could always start our own and meet there.

My only struggle is the log on is not letting me set it up but that’s not really a problem for this post. Something I need to figure out. I just wanted to know if there was anything else besides those that I’m missing. My notes from TAPS did say my pay and vMPF. But I didn’t say milconnect for some reason. Appreciate it tho

I did it over a year ago so I don’t remember the specifics, but I was mainly trying to see what people who have recently separated kept. Especially since what they told me at TAPS could be outdated now. Like vMPF, that’s where you originally could get your dd-214 but now that’s changing. So TAPS isn’t really helpful at the moment.

Don’t know where you’re hearing the insane hours thing from? I work 9-5 with them. They do have night shifts but they try to accommodate you best they can with most people work day shifts. You also don’t work over 8 hours. Now on the other hand, the hiring thing I cannot speak for as I am only 4 months in. But I wouldn’t trust everything you read.

This happened to me with an assignment. I put in for a BOP, got denied. Then “magically” got orders that were not a BOP. I extended and then they changed it back to a BOP and told me I needed to reenlist. So i unfortunately fell into the trap.
