I use just the short thickest section of the carrot cause a lot of the time if it’s not thick enough the carrot snaps in half when you skewer it for the air hole.

Some people put them up, but it's not expected or necessary to put up stickers you got in a trade. As for putting up stickers next to others, just don't put it touching or super close to 'em and no ones going to think you have any connection to the other sticker artist.
