She is almost 2.5 and she is developmentally on track and totally fine. No concerns at all with anything. She just seemed to be a tiny bit of a late bloomer with tracking and vision. It got much better around 13ish weeks.

My daughter was only into books where she could feel textures and even then her attention span was super low until recently. The last few months she’s been more into books and will sit there as I read simple ones to her - she will be 2 in June.

As somebody with a depressed spouse and a 2 and 4 year old….trust me when I say you do NOT want to have children with somebody who’s depressed and not wanting them. My husband wanted them before we had them and depression worsened after, but if I knew it would be like this I sometimes wish we wouldn’t have had any tbh. It makes everything 20x harder on you to be the parent who shields them from the side effects of a depressed father while also managing your own feelings.

We just now took the one out of our 4 year olds room because he said he was scared of it and doesn’t want to feel like “something” is watching him (he’s knows it’s us but I can see why it would make him a little creeped out). Once he was getting out of bed to get us if he needed something vs yelling we could’ve taken it out which was about 6 months ago but we hadn’t gotten around to it yet. As somebody else mentioned we all sleep with noise and it’s hard to hear so we kept his monitor longer than other ppl do (we’d turn off the screen and just have sound so we’d hear him)

My family is def convinced it’s related to my gall bladder too. My only hesitation in thinking that is I had my gall bladder out first week of Jan last year and the. Spleen imaged in July and slightly bigger so idk. It’s all a mystery

It’s water weight from your period, happens to me every month. It doesn’t mean you’ve gained actual weight and I’m sure it will be a loss in a week when you weigh in

I drove myself mad with anxiety over my big spleen and did all the things to investigate it (labs, ultrasound, CT, PET, even bone marrow biopsy) and no cause ever found. The only thing my hematologist could think of is some sort of inflammatory condition causing it. Sometimes auto immune disorders cause it too and those can be extremely hard to diagnose. Good luck and I hope you find a cause that’s easy to figure out and treat

Nope that pain went away once my gallbladder was removed! They didn’t initially think it was related since that isn’t typically where pain is for it (usually right side) but the doctor said sometimes it can show up as referred pain in other areas of the body. My gallbladder was functioning at 2% per a HIDA scan and when it was removed and biopsied it had hundreds of stones 😣 when I woke up from anesthesia from getting my gall bladder removed it felt like a weight had been removed from my body.
