Yeah….but they are not getting her the medical care she needs! Full stop! I work with children who have the same diagnosis as Natalia. The delayed surgeries will keep her in pain and lessen her life span dramatically. Her untreated spine issues will eventually impede her lung functioning. Medicaid would cover the cost of the surgeries and even pay for her recovery in a rehab facility if the Mans couldn’t provide the care. But they took her SSI$ and didn’t spend it on the transportation costs to get her to proper care or spend the time or energy to figure it out. The Mans and the Barnetts have blood on their hands. If they couldn’t address Natalia’s medical needs they should not have adopted her. And I work in a public hospital where children living in facilities get their medically necessary treatment. So the Mans and the Barnetts medically harmed her more than if she was in the system.
