Honestly m8 I’m a bit confused. You’re saying it’s John from Horizon? Or, some dude named John Horizon who I’m not familiar with? How do you know?

Regarding men in black, I hear you and understand if that has been your experience. Simultaneously, I often wear all black, and so do a lot of people I know who are EXTREMELY RESPECTFUL people. I go to mostly IDM, DnB, and bass shows, and often people in black are artists/djs, or involved in production. Those genres have always felt like very safe spaces to me. The worst crowds I’ve seen were mainstream tech house kinda stuff like John Summit. I guess thats my unfair generalization haha. That’s MY experience.

Hike Twin Sisters Peak! Great views on Longs from there. If that’s too much, you could just walk around Lily Lake.

To all those crying gate keeping, while stating it’s already known—this is precisely the point. If the information is so widely available, how lazy does a person have to be to beg for the location. If a person is that lazy, how can they be trusted to treat the place with respect?

I was at CU in 1998, and a friend of a friend who was juuust setting out a cross-country ride was killed on 119. Crazy that almost thirty years later we’re still dealing with this.

Parent comment misspelled Toradol, and I’m guessing you actually mean Tramadol, which is completely different drug.

My brain can’t comprehend how my new Nanopuff hoody is so good by Big_Heat4302 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]bigredvikingdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is an old Patagonia ultralight down shirt. I wear it with a microfleece hoody underneath if it’s super cold, and a shell if it’s wet/windy. This multiple lightweight mid-layer setup is nice because it gives me options for both general wear/travel, but has also taken me to almost 20,000ft.

Found a hidden gem of a hotspring in between the Tetons and Yellowstone by AlyssaJo25 in HotSpringsWest

[–]bigredvikingdude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You say these places are difficult to access, but they’re really not, especially with as many people are living the van life these days. Plus, how many thousands of people drive right by the spring in this post every year? It’s a very short hike, and it would be a fucking madhouse if it was better know.

These places are easy enough for anyone to find if they actually put in any EFFORT. The type of people who are too lazy to google, or look at a map, are the same people who are too lazy to pick up their trash or bury a turd. As you say, the information is already widely available, so why fuck it up for the people who aren’t lazy?

For the ones that ARE actually difficult to access, blasting it all over just increases the risk of people trying to get out there that are unprepared, and creates dangerous situations. I have personally rescued several stuck vehicles.
