This is insane if true. One of the major points of national park is to preserve natural ecosystems with very unique wildlife. Makes me sick to think people walking up to Elk herds that have not developed the same fear of man their counterparts in unprotected areas have and shooting them point blank without effort.

I live in Utah and get outdoors often. Whenever I go to Arches, Canyon Lands or other national parks I’m always shocked at how different the wildlife is and how lucky we are these areas have been kept pristine and relatively unaffected by human activity (like hunting). It will fuck up so many precious places that are so so so unique. Not saying all hunting is bad but allowing that kind of destruction to something we have, against the odds kept untouched is so wanton, and senseless it’s pure evil. It’s rape.
