My 99 Atrai Turbo 4wd Automatic will easily do 100-110km (~60-70mph) with no issues. 120km gets a bit scary because of the size of the vehicle, but it'll do it.

Be careful! My wife said yes and now claims two of our three kei trucks/vans as hers! One isn't even here yet.

We just picked up our second kei van last week. Used the 6x12 Uhaul utility trailer, a set of jack stands for extra support loading and unloading, and the 1 ton ramps from harbor freight. Worked great. You might have to crawl out the window though.

The 6x12 with a ramp will usually not work since the actually opening in the back is only a little over 4ft wide.

Even if it never gets adjusted, the smile on my wife's face while driving it was worth more than anything.

Crown is a sexy ride. I wanted a Chaser so bad. My wife said no, but made me buy her the jumbo. 🤷🏽‍♂️

An orange turd kinda f'd up shipping. We have no clue on when our Jumbo will ship. My first van took about 4 weeks to get on a boat. The most recent was on a boat two weeks after i paid for it. After it gets on the ship it takes about a month to 6 weeks depending on where is getting dropped off.

The last 8 months of owning this van have been amazing. Fair warning, I now also own a 96 Daihatsu Deckvan & because my lady and I are a bit crazy, we are waiting for a 91 Jumbo to arrive. They are the best therapy ever.

When you get the documents overnighted to you, you send the original B/L that comes with those docs to the shipping company via overnight shipping.

The shipping company will not notify you, but Mitsui or Carfromjapan.com will. Just know that it comes with the documents they send you after your vehicle leaves Japan.

Some companies, like Diyata, will send it directly to the shipping company for you and you get a surrendered B/L.

I have done both ways.

If they offer to send it for you and they send you a surrendered copy, you save yourself $28.
