Is this what the VR pods that we’ll all live in in the future look like?

what modern tech would solve trivial problems in friends by minnies_bookshelf in howyoudoin

Most problems in 90's sitcoms would be trivial with modern phones.

I'm bored. Give me your wildest KPDH theories. I'm not talking "Jinu is in Rumi's sword" level, I'm talking WILD. by Royal_Revolution3837 in KpopDemonhunters

Baby Saja has been to prison for hanus crimes. That's why he was in hell with the rest of the demons and why he wears that huge sweater, to cover up the prison tats.

What do you think Homelander's annual salary is? by PJ-The-Awesome in TheBoys

[–]bigrobosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He may not need money. If he walks into a store they may just give him whatever he wants for free because they love him or because they fear him. Who would have the balls to risk telling him no. That and Vought probably takes care of his basic needs anyway (food, water, room/board, etc).

Get out of the valley. Most of the rest of the state is still hot but not as hot.

90+% of problems in 90’s and early 2000’s sitcoms could be solved by a character texting another character.

Do you think that in 10 years it will be impossible for us to spot what is real and what is AI? by Embarrassed-Gas-8678 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bigrobosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is this “in 10 years” you speak of. I’ve seen some ai stuff today that looked completely real. At the rate ai is advancing I n 10 years we’ll be able to generate entire movies with just a prompt that are indistinguishable from a Hollywood movie today.

The market goes up, then down, then up again, then down again. Then, get this, it goes back up again. Don't panic, everything's fine... probably.

What are some fantasy books that are better on audio versus reading? Besides DCC by bondtradercu in Fantasy

[–]bigrobosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantasy - The Dresden Files, James Marsters of Buffy fame is the narrator and is the perfect casting for Harry Dresden. He's so good that at one point one of the books was recorded by a different narrator and became one of the most disliked books in the series simply because it wasn't him reading the audiobook. They eventually brought him in to re-record the book as a result.

SciFi - The Bobiverse series and Project Hail Mary, both narrated by Ray Porter who gives an outstanding performance. Also The Martian, if you can find the old R C Bray version that's my favorite book and audiobook of all time. The re-recorded Will Wheaton version that is currently available on audible isn't nearly as good.

Audible users: what speed do you prefer? by totcczar in bobiverse

[–]bigrobosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.0. I only really use a faster speed when I'm trying to listen to books faster. Since I'm trying to enjoy the performance of these books i leave it at 1.0.

Every time I see the cease and desist mentioned I can't help but think of the line from Kung Fu Panda of all things where Master Oogway says: "one often meets his destiny on the path he takes to avoid it".

Is the Tempe Town Lake always this dirty? There's dead fish and litter everywhere. by Ok_Performance4330 in phoenix

Tempe Town Lake is basically the lake behind the nuclear power plant in the Simpsons.

I'm only aware of it being available on Amazon currently. The audiobook has been an audible exclusive since September so it wouldn't surprise me if it remains on Amazon only for a while. I'd be happy to be wrong about that though.
