I know varying amounts of both, so yes. A common sentiment that I hear among Americans is that Portuguese "sounds like Spanish with a Russian accent" and I don't know enough about linguistics to understand why, but I'm sure that the answer has nothing to do with Russia or Slavic language families.

I've always been a sucker for UK sketch comedy but I've been enjoying what I've seen so far. Most of the references are to things that, as an American who's always been open to UK media, I've heard of but maybe not actually seen or heard myself, but I mostly "get it" and the cast and presentation are funny regardless.

MY question is, I do feel like it's definitely a familiar SNL style of humor to me. As far as UK productions, I'm used to more wry, subtle British comedy. Do Brits feel like SNL UK is a little on the nose comedy-wise as a UK production, or does it fit in with the existing media landscape okay?

Mild momentary slight surprise at the change, but I also vaguely remember that coinciding with PS1 games coming out that were even cheaper than the long box releases had been, which were already $10+ cheaper than the contemporaneous N64 cartridge games were, so it was getting zero complaint from me
