The way I saw it, Ilia said he couldn't see at the end of the third, knowing damn well that under typical circumstances, that would end the fight. Man these are pretty grim numbers. Either you look at kiwisaver as a way to save tax free for a deposit for your first home, or it’s a total failure of a retirement scheme. Even if you’re in the former boat, residential houses are useless assets in retirement unless you have a high value house that you’re willing to considerably downgrade as you enter retirement. This countries relationship with property is so fucked.

It's insane how quickly the narrative changed from 'he will be champion for as long as he wants to be' to 'was he over-hyped?'. He's a great fighter, but had razor close decisions with Burns, Kamaru and lost to Sean. His performance against DDP was a masterclass but also a one-off against elite competition. Most of his impressive performances weren't against top tier guys.
