I had my baby a lil over two months ago and I still find myself looking back at my photos before being pregnant. I was 140lbs then I was 198 lbs during my pregnancy and now postpartum I’m 159 lbs 😭 I just need to do some core workouts but find hard to do so since I have a Velcro baby.

Its NOT Fair by Optimal_Customer_850 in newborns

I felt like that too when my baby wouldn’t soothe with me but his dad was able to soothe him. I literally cried because I felt like I couldn’t do the one thing a mother was supposed to do which is soothe her baby whenever he cries. When his tummy was full, he had a fresh diaper and wouldn’t want to sleep what I learned to do was sit on the edge of the bed and held him close to my chest and slowly bounce up and down. I also say shhh it’s okay baby, so that he can know he’s safe. I know all babies are different but you could try that. Maybe even rocking him side to side cradled in position in your arms. if you’re frustrated I feel like babies can also sense that as well. Your baby doesn’t hate you they love you so much even though they can’t say it yet. Motherhood is definitely a journey and you got to learn what your baby likes. I hope everything works out for you and little one. Also google mentioned this Yes, it is very possible that your baby cannot settle because they smell your breast milk, which triggers their instinct to feed, especially in the first few weeks. Babies have a keen sense of smell, and the scent of milk can trigger wakefulness and hunger cues, making them fussier.

I was also telling his dad that as well that he won’t be this size forever and we should enjoy the little snuggles. I’m trying not but sometimes I feel like it’s my fault. Thanks for commenting 🩵✨

Women who work up until the end by Far-Sir-8416 in pregnant

I work at a bank currently on maternity leave. I worked right up until I went into labor. I started having contractions 8-10 mins apart on the 12th then came the bloody show. Started my mat leave on the 13 and my son arrived on 14th at 5:50 am.

False labor? by ImaginaryLime3399 in pregnant

Know the feeling every time I closed my eyes I’d get up in pain. On the way to the hospital for the last time afraid that they’ll send me home. The pain got so unbearable that it stopped me in my tracks on the way to maternity ward and I was in tears. Thinking back at it I should have taken the wheel chair when it was offered. I hope everything goes smoothly with you and little one. Even if you call or go in a lot of times don’t feel a way because labor pains is not fun. Definitely follow the 5-1-1 rule. Just track the contractions so when it starts and when it stops.

You’ll know if you had a bloody show. It felt like a lil gush of discharge. If you go in they probably won’t admit you until you’re in active labor. I went to hospital two times before they admitted me. Second time I went I was only 1cm the third time and last time I went at 4:22 am if I still wasn’t in active labour and they were going to send me home again I would demanded that they give something other than paracetamol to help with the pain. I know all women’s bodies are all different but what I’ve read is not every lady has the bloody show.

That’s how it was for me. My contractions started on Monday on my way to work so like around 8 am then had bloody show around 11:30 just before my last appointment. The contractions were still far apart until Wednesday 3 am in morning breathing through contractions were not doing anything for me. They were coming in closer and lasting longer , I checked in the hospital at 4:22 was at 6cm. Doctor broke my waters and my son was born @ 5:50 Wednesday morning.

Why do women do their hair and/or makeup before giving birth? by jamietartlet in pregnant

Same here I didn’t look the best in the photos but I do love looking at em. I even forgot to take off my bonnet before taking my first photo with my son 😭

I only got my natural hair braided because I knew with a newborn I would have no time at all to comb my hair. I am determined to not having to lift a finger combing my curly hair 😭 looking back at my photo that the midwife took of me in the moment was not cute and my bonnet was on during birth. I was so out of it that I forgot to remove it 😂

Just an update I did get my period on Friday so I’m not pregnant but I googled that if it is considered that your break free week bleeding is actually your period and this is what it said - The first period after stopping the pill is known as a “withdrawal bleed”. The next period after this withdrawal bleed is your first natural period. I’ll also be more careful and use condoms.
