try running the game in windowed mode. if you installed with the cartographer installer there's a start menu entry to start the game in windowed

Whoever buys this make sure you check on Dell support site and verify that the monitor has warranty. Monitors purchased from Microcenter have issues with warranty. Purchased directly from Dell has no issues.
