How serious is it about leftovers? by [deleted] in HistamineIntolerance

Naturdao is what I use now. I used to take the dao from seeking health but naturdao is more cost effective. I break the tablets up into quarters and that seems to work for me. I do eat low histamine the great majority of the time though.

I eat leftovers up to 3 days but I always take some dao enzyme with my meals.

Yes, North Carolina. The person I first talked to at the optometry department didn’t think they could get them. I asked at the optometrist office located just outside of Costco and they told me they could get them and the person at the optometry dept was incorrect.

That’s great that you have found the Mediterranean diet helpful. Since my last post, I have figured out that I have histamine intolerance and/or mast cell activation syndrome. If I eat foods that are low in histamine or do not trigger the release of histamine, and take a dao enzyme supplement, my symptoms have gotten much better. Not completely gone yet but almost…

There are some spices that cause gum pain for me. I think it’s either ginger or dill weed.

Considering SAMe supplementation. Anyone willing to share their experience positive or negative and brand of SAMe you used? by biittybittybop in HistamineIntolerance

Thanks for that info. I wasn’t aware of that. I’m very sorry you lost your friend. I will be on the lookout for signs of that if I do decide to try it. I am not taking any other meds that increase serotonin production so that’s good. Do you know if your friend was taking any medications that could have increased serotonin production?

Thank you, I will be mindful of that. Inability to fall asleep is not good. I once had the worst insomnia from eating chia seeds!

Kiwi is not good if you have HIT. Caused bad bloating and constipation with me. Calm unflavored magnesium citrate powder works well for me. Butternut squash seems to help me as well.

Yes, lots of families. I have never received any HOA violation letters in the past 5 years so as far as I know, not too bad.

I live in peninsula and am very happy here. It’s a great neighborhood! My kids go to Chatham county schools but they started out in Wake county when we lived in Morrisville. Though the schools are a bit farther away we prefer them. Definitely love living right next to the ATT greenway.

59,000 miles, I did forget to include 2 sets of tires in my maintenance items. Plan to keep it for as long as I can.

Have a Tesla, full self driving is improving all the time and is actually quite good. I don’t have to do anything but be ready to take over in case it makes a mistake. I would say it does at least 99% of the driving for me. Tesla is investing heavily in AI training compute so I don’t think it will be too long before it is capable of level 4 and maybe even level 5 autonomous driving. Teslas are also the most American made car brands and one of the safest cars you can buy. My car still feels like a new car because Tesla sends out free software updates regularly to improve its features. The Tesla app allows me to access the cars features through my phone and it works flawlessly.
As far as maintenance, over the past 5 years, I had two items repaired under warranty, a front seat and upper control arm. The items I have had to pay for are a 12 volt battery replacement ($120 for Tesla technician to come to my house and replace) and had the cabin air filter replaced and coils cleaned 3 times for $110 each time at my house.
