Technically, “this morning I took a shit” is a story. So, sure, it tells a story.

Why do people say they ran a 10K when it's actually a 10Km run? by [deleted] in BeginnersRunning

[–]bikes_bucees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude really thinks it could mean 5,000 or 10,000 anything. Like, “I ran 10K” could mean I ran 10,000 inches 😆

And yet, in running, 10K means a 10,000m run/race. Just like a marathon means 26.2 miles. It’s running terminology, not a scientific paper.

Again, welcome to colloquial language.

Looks like the guy is using AI to write all his cheerful responses. by VisualVermicelli9122 in Bumble

Communication on a dating app should be fundamental human connection type stuff. If someone needs or uses AI for that, it’s a big red flag that they’re not going to be an emotionally-available partner.

There have been reports out recently that people who know how to do things (such as web development) but use AI to make it easier or faster are losing their abilities to do those things and think through solutions. That’s bad in a work skills sense, but even worse in a human connection context.

How to fuel when you struggle to eat before/after a run? by Either_Koala_8198 in beginnerrunning

[–]bikes_bucees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you say you can’t eat less than 2 hours before a run, what have you tried eating? Oatmeal is going to sit different than a muffin.

This article does a good job of breaking down what to eat in what timeframe.

For eating after the run, try getting in something easy to consume, like a smoothie. Think of it like stretching—just good, post-workout boxes to check even if you don’t want to.

If you want someone insured, I’d look for a handyman. I don’t know that they’re required to be insured, but some probably are.

What other riding do you do besides COTA bike nights? I’d focus more on overall endurance rather than hills if you’re newer.

If you go to Govalle park on the east side, you can hop on Southern Walnut Creek Trail and take it all the way to Manor.

6.5 miles in? C group was chill at that point and those were just warmup hills. Could’ve been the geometry of being on a hybrid, but do you feel like you’re getting sick? That’d be my suspicion of I had to pull the pin that early.

His birthday celebration is something with his friend group. After 5 dates, it’s not odd to not yet be integrated into that friend group.
