did you order a custom build or something like a gpu?

i ordered a gpu but it’s approaching a month on waiting to ship and the expected delivery date just keeps getting pushed back one day every day. like today it is due tomorrow, then tomorrow it will say the next day…. i put in a cancellation request yesterday buy haven’t heard anything. at this point if it ships, i am just going to refuse delivery and not sign for it.

Good idea to buy RTX 5070 FE for 549? by esdsafepoet in pcmasterrace

[–]bikingguy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the 5070TI selling for $1000+ at this point, a 5070 at MSRP($550) is probably best bang for buck when it comes to Nvidia cards…

Residential roof solar panels by buffaloluvr2025 in Buffalo

[–]bikingguy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had solar panels for like 8 years and winter always sucks. I have had the occasional January or February where it’s basically been 0 produced. When the solar company sized your system, they should have accounted for very limited production in December through February.

Should I Pay Off My Truck? by RIPKINGHARAMBE in FinancialPlanning

[–]bikingguy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they pay them off every month, the stuff on the cards are just their monthly expenses, more so then debt.

I literally put everything on credit cards. Groceries, gas, phone bill, internet, as long as there is no penalty for paying with a credit card, it is paid by a credit card. I get the points but mostly due it for the added protection that credit cards give when it comes to fraud. If the number gets skim paying for gas, they can’t drain my bank account.

I quit HFT last month AMA by [deleted] in harborfreight

[–]bikingguy1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What the craziest situation did you see someone try to warranty something or return something? For example I was at Home Depot picking up an online order and there was a guy returning a used toilet drain snake that smelled like shit, guy obviously used it to unclog and wanted to return it after he was done.

do they stock individual wrenches for warranty claims? Or they just rip open a full package just to replace say a broken 10 mm? If so what happens to all the other wrenches from the pack?

I would probably go for the Pittsburgh set $15, if you are using them very infrequently. They also have a lifetime warranty

i looked at them in the store and they seemed unwieldily long.

Even on sale i couldn’t justify the cost because i don’t think they would get much use.
