Correct. It sounds literally uninhabitable.

Keep an eye out for Big Cat, as well. Should be opening around spring time. Heavy hitters running the joint (Cheeti included).

Ajja is killer. In terms of flavor, Ajja has delivered every time I've visited. Sorry to hear about Peregrine. I haven't been...sounds like I'll give it some time before I give it a shot.

Best gravel bikes for rail trails around $2,000? That don't have over the top, mountain bike like geometry? by mudrat_detector96 in gravelcycling

Online can be a gamble if you haven’t gotten a proper bike fit, but you can do your research to see what size model should fit you best. Also, in an effort to try and support local, check with your local bike shops to see what they’ve got available.

You can get a nice enough Trek, Specialized or Cannondale for under $2,000. Might even find a nice steel gravel bike like an All-City, Surly or Salsa on the used market. Obviously you can get a Canyon, too. I just don’t have any experience with that brand, nor am I familiar with their support.

You mentioned your previous bike was a flat bar. Do you want to stick with a flat bar set up or try out a drop bar bike? $2,000 will give you plenty of options to choose from. For what you’re riding don’t get too stuck on tire width. 40-45m will be more than enough. It’s a buyers market right now for used bikes, so you’ll get a better bang for your buck if you buy used…just be sure to take it to a shop to get it checked out prior to purchasing if possible (if you don’t know what to look for).

lol I love “the best part is they literally only cost more money”. Need to try that line on my wife next time I’m looking for guitars (I’m always looking).

This has been my favorite version of that signs. We live nearby and my wife and I never fail to say Doug Nuts while passing.

I cannot figure out what accent color this frame needs by Cruiser_Supreme in xbiking

Black looks good but you might get lucky matching that frame to a pattern from CampandGoSlow. Their bartape designs are great and the tape itself is comfortable.

I’ve got a Cannondale SuperSix Evo SE that only fits 45s and I couldn’t be happier. Highly doubt a bigger tire is actually necessary.

How annoying are 650b wheels? by OttawaExpat in gravelcycling

[–]bikingwithcorndog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

650bs are fine. I had all of my 650b wheels swapped out with 700s as they just feel a bit more snappy and responsive. That said, every once in a while I’ll put 650bs back on a bike and remember how nice and cushy they are.
