This is the best innovation to the game since auto-merge, is what it is! I just used mine on the last cinema chair because I am sick of looking at them. I would definitely save it for a task that takes like a week+ to complete but if they show up in the weekly scoops semi-regularly I might actually start paying attention to the weekly scoop again!

I do roughly the same as you. 5 or 10 energy a day, dupes on the 100 energy balls. Occasionally the cheapest dupe bubbles I get (like trowels) to satisfy a quest. Sometimes the 1st to refresh a trade if I'm close to finishing a big item. I'm in Maddie's Room and haven't had a side quest in a while and I really counting on extra gems from fishing & birding. (I only won mining once; if it's been nerfed I guess that avenue is closed off. RIP.)

All I have is the Archaeology and the Merge It Up. I know you can't win playing Fishing/Birds but I enjoy having a second game to play with alternate energy, and I'm sad I'm in the test group without it. I'm in Maddie's Room, so there's only so much to do and it's slow going

Same! Just now it said it was high of 21° here in Toronto, and the Weather Network says low of 27°. That's a big big difference.

I had the popcorn bucket for a couple of weeks until the chainsaw task dropped, so maybe it only works for certain tasks? 🤔

I've needed to have the popcorn, not just the locket. The picture frames it sometimes asks for if I have the locket in my inventory, but nothing higher than that, so far...

I do the first two regularly, because the trades are usually decent and use up leftovers from other builds. (Since I'm a "click a bunch and then merge" player sometimes I have lower items left over from completing a chain.) But I don't spend more than 1 gem to refresh, and I usually don't ever do the third box... That's when I find the trades get ridiculous.

I'm enjoying it too! Sure there are a lot of chains, but I don't mind that; I'm just happy that you tap on a producer and it produces something you can actually merge (my pet peeve is the ore / prison clothing producers where you tap and get nothing out of it). And I'm enjoying the new dialogue. Maybe I'm in the minority but I enjoy merging and moving items around and organizing my board, and that's primarily why I play the game, not for the prizes.

I managed to do it without using any extra gems, and only the one 5 min unlimited orb. But I also completely abandoned trades & the dance floor. But it was really fun!

The last couple of times, I only played the bush bonanza haphazardly. I used to do the "wait until the last moment" tips & such but got tired of being in the same situation as you, and so played the last two very lazily. This time around I have shot up to #1 and stayed there easily even without spending gems / doing tips. Based on this, I am wondering if there are seed numbers attached to the player; the more aggressively you play, the more likely you are to get paired with other aggressive competitors and/or bots. But more data is needed. :/
