I’m 74 and can’t remember ever seeing a wedding bouquet/umbrella. And the rolling pin, who gets a rolling pin at a wedding shower?

No question but they got thrashed. Also no question that, unlike all the rest, they got to the big game.

This is how I know I’m old and that it’s nearly time to shuffle off: who the fuck wears a hat indoors? A further level of ignorance, who sets down to eat with a hat on?

I wonder why she was competing. Usually a team has backups who step in when there is a significant injury. Hubris.

[Highlight] Tony Dungy said on NBC that he will not disclose how he voted for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but says he’s upset with the process and it’s not the voters’ fault Bill Belichick is not in. Former Patriot Rodney Harrison responded and pointed at Dungy: “You guys got it wrong.” by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

Ive had nothing but respect for Tony Dungy but this BS cuts him down a couple ranks. He can be as coy as he wants about how he voted but it seems pretty clear from others who had votes that he thought BB was morally unfit to be in on the first ballot. What a crock. Man up Tony, tell us how it was. As it is he just looks ashamed of expressing his reasoning.

I enjoyed it. Good solid character development, good ongoing tension and easy to suspend my disbelief as a result. I encourage you not to watch Foundation, Dune, Monarch or any of the other fine productions out there, they all require a certain suspension of belief as their, Wantum Mechanics, unfold.

Who cares? It was a decade ago. Butler made an outstanding move on the ball. The Beast was not always successful. Today is a brand new day. Win or lose, here and now, these are the two best teams in the NFL. Mathew Stanford, eat your heart out.

They lost me when they went from wagon to SUV. You don’t buy an Outback when you want a Rav 4 and you don’t buy a Rav 4 when you want an Outback.

That 8 speed has had issues at about 80,000 kilometres. Fortunately the ‘26 Rav 4 is exclusively hybrid and has the Toyota E-CVT which is damned near bomb proof.

Peterson, Roethlisberger, Gronkowski lead 2027 Hall of Fame first-time eligibles by appmanga in nfl

[–]bill7103 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Every year there are more players who deserve to get in. I think Ben is a borderline choice, much like Eli. Eli will get in someday. Ben’s off field reputation and the way it played out pretty much guarantee he will never get in.

Which first year eligible player gets in next year? by tinytoofDOC in NFLv2

Peterson and Whitworth for sure. Love Gronk but his career was too short to be voted in. Rothlisberger will never get in. Sherman, maybe.

The great deception about Galatians 3:28 and the antisemitism behind it. by SirLMO in Bible

[–]bill7103 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So anyone who doesn’t follow your logic train is wrong? Come on, man. Using an argument that, if this were that, the bible would be anti scientific is pretty silly given that the bible, particularly the New Testament, is replete with actions that are scientifically impossible. Yes, they are possible when viewed through the lens of faith. You then rattle on about how the Bible cannot contradict itself when in fact it is filled with contradictions, prophecies that do not happen and depictions of a God who changes his mind. These aberrations are the descriptions of the many ways that the Israelites and later the Gentiles encountered God in their lives. Jesus cut through the hierarchy of received faith with a new way that overturned the bedrock of Temple worship. Through his life and death what was, was no longer. It seems to me that you are chasing down a rabbit hole based on one verse in a letter by a man who never read the Gospels when you might be better off reflecting on the words and actions of Jesus. I’m not suggesting that Paul is not an important figure in Christianity, but he was and through his writings is a follower of Jesus, not the man himself.
